I tried to submit there a few times, got an email with the validation code the first time, never got any after that :(

I know this could happen sometimes, it looks like I have some problems with the mailing system, because I see less submissions lately and it seems it all comes from unconfirmed mails or even not sent confirmation emails, I will check if I can see access the Links with unconfirmed mail and review them.
I always send emails when the link is approved and I am working on that email problem both with my hosting and with my script support :)

me too, but I stopped sending confirmation emails for now till I get this resolved.

So the site doesn't send the confirmation email?? I'm not getting one either

yes, its not sending confirmation emails anymore, but all the sites gets submitted and reviewed as usual :)
