So who's going to the miami show?
 

Heard from alot of people that they're not doing the big shows anymore.

smaller private parties are more popular these days.

so anybody from here will be around?

I don't think you're going to find a lot of AVN supporters around here - we've been sick of them since 2005 or so.

Do a search for AVN or Miami & you'll find some old threads, but this one from 2006 probably sums up what I think the majority of the regulars around here think (especially, Linkster & Torn's posts)

Since I live like 5 miles away you would think that I would be going but it's like what's the point.

It's on the front page of our local newspaper today.

I thought that was the swingers convention that was taking the hotel until AVN's show.

You may be right, didn't really read much of it, might be a different convention. I thought that the news was just calling it a swinger's convention when I saw that it was being held at the same hotel.

The swinger's convention is this week at the Diplomat. Barring an unexpected hurricane, I'll be at the InterNext show next week. When I was at 2008 Webmaster Access East, other people (non-AVN staff) were saying that InterNext in Florida was one of the better shows to attend.

I have to agree! That is one of the most expensive shows of the year and is getting smaller and smaller every year. This will be the first one I miss there, but it's just not worth the roi! I know last year, I met alot of people not even in the biz, they tried to play it off like they where, but ummmm, it doesn't take long to know the difference. LOL

read the whole thread.. yeah 18 usd for a cheeseburger is pretty frustrating..

well but there will be alot of sponsored events. so food and drinks should be covered most of the time. I really liked your meeting in vegas when you rented out that one bar 2 years ago |headbang|
