Good morning,

First of all I want to wish Emerald and BlueBrit a very good day :)

Just watched how the Belgian -21 soccer team defeated their Italian opponents in the Olympic Quarter final. Joy Joy :)
Going to submit some stuff and then my weekend starts. The annual fair is in town which means that starting from tomorrow morning 9 AM I'll be drinking beer and eating fries for a little over 4 days.

New day, fresh start, for the last two days if it could go wrong it did.

Went to the grocery store last night and bought a few weeks worth of extra groceries in case Fay comes for a visit as something more then just a topical storm. Going to top off the gas tanks of both our cars today. Still waiting to decide if we need more then the 60 gallons of generator fuel that we have left over from last year.

Going to try to do the stuff today that I was never able to do for the past two days like going to the gym and actually getting some of my own work done.

Some catching up on work today until about noon and then a trip to the grocery store, Home Depot and a few other places as my wife is going to inform me while on the road. |pokefun|TA

My TV is finally hanging on the wall like it should be, |bananna| and after two days of work I can say that it was worth it (all the work I mean) I still have to hook up all the components like the PS, DVD, receiver etc...

Fuckin' decaf! How am I supposed to start my day on decaf? It's bad enough trudging down to the hotel lobby, still sleepy and wearing the previous day's clothes - you get there and all of those smiling, perky faces are all chatting and laughing away - bastards - then, when you pull the spigot back on the 'robust' coffee, it's drip, drip, drip. So you go to the 'regular' coffee and again, drip, drip. But oh sure, when you pull back on decaf - it's flowing like a motherfucker. |angry| Plus, if that's not enough to hinder a warrior's morning, I'm standing up while typing this little diatribe because the hydraulic shock on the desk chair if dead.

Otherwise, all is beautiful in the world.

Please ignore any apparent happiness indicated in my greeting. Not only was I already as bummed as Pat for not going, and having to keep an eye on Fay like Cleo (path looks to be coming this way), but late yesterday the a/c unit for the main part of the house shorted out and started filling the place with foul burned-wiring odors. Still trying to find out when I can get the replacement done.

But aside from those things, I still want to wish a very happy day to a couple well-practiced in doing what they'll be doing today. |roses| I'll do my best to be near a computer for whatever time the ceremony is held...unless I find an a/c guy who's willing to work this weekend.

A storm-track free kind of day wished to all.

Just woke up and I am still on west coast time. I think the wife and I are suppose to be at Greenie's a half hour ago but running late and still need a shower. Better get to it since the wife just got out of the bathroom.

After the hell we went through yesterday moving into our new place in 103F+ heat, Fay better not fuck up our trip to Curacao, I will be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pissed. Thankfully we hired movers and since I am still sick, we would have been so fucked if we didn’t.

Comcast has once again proved they are total shit; the fucking modem won’t stay online more than a few minutes.|banghead|

Happy Wedding Day Emerald and BlueBrit!

Fay concerns me as it wasn't projected to make hurricane strength until just hitting Florida, now they have it hitting hurricane strength before it hits the Straits of Cuba, which means it'll be able to strengthen over the straight slightly before hitting the western coast of Florida. Puts us in the dirty side which means FPL (Flicker, Plunder and Loot) will probably be testing to make sure their grid fails at the appropriate times -- like when there is no wind or rain anywhere nearby.

Other than that, finally got the hardware end of my project done -- came together nicely after a few frustrating engineering issues cropped up when put in production. Some oddities arose -- its faster than it should be and I don't know why. SSD drives fired right up and did what they were supposed to do. I'm relatively pleased.

Cleo, did you drop your iphone or a different phone? you said you removed the battery -- I thought that was an apple only thing.

Simon, I wish you luck with the A/C -- not a great time of year to be pressured to get an A/C unit. Our neighbor's had one fail in the middle of summer and had to go with the guy that actually showed up. With the economy the way it is, maybe some of the Florida-attitude vendors near you will be a little more anxious to show up. Though, as Cleo's directv installer demonstrated, they may not care.

Time to delve into about 8000 lines of php... my nemesis.

Woke up with a migraine and dizzy, these crazy winds make me sick, I don't need a hangover lol.. the temp was 40º C yesterday and around 20 only today.

But this day is not about me, greetings to Emerald and Bluebrit!

I hope the wanna-be hurricane won't do harm to those who live and cross its way.

Just one of my GE house phones, no big deal I have 3 more. It is officially dead after I broke it taking it apart trying to get the water out.

I'm rather worried about what this storm is going to do when it hits warm water. A friend tried to buy gas this morning and said that gas lines were already forming. Getting ready to go to the gym now (if the fucking phone will stop ringing with trannies wanting stuff done to their websites) so I guess I can see the lines for myself as I drive by with a full tank of gas.
