If you are an American will you be voting?

This will be the first time I've ever voted despite being registered for many years.

Got this sent to me this morning by one of my friends. :)

RedCherry 2008-10-03 11:01 AM

I have followed this election more than I have all the previous elections combined since I've been old enough to vote. I feel I have more at stake in this one too, Palin and McCain seem just the type to try and "crack down" even more on porn online. So yes, I'm voting. Love the JibJab, lol.

Cleo 2008-10-03 11:29 AM

Palin with her religious beliefs reminds me a bit of Anita Bryant who just fucked things up royally for Florida.

Torn Rose 2008-10-03 11:50 AM

I think this election will shatter all records for numbers of votes.

Useless 2008-10-03 11:53 AM

Palin makes me feel like grudge-fucking.

Torn Rose 2008-10-03 11:54 AM

Palin reminds me of Katherine Harris (as portrayed by Laura Dern in "Recount") She has no idea what is going on and just repeats what she is told. She did “ok” last night but that in no way change my low opinion of her, she is nothing but a puppet.

yea , sure , why not ... ?

Really, you will be voting in American elections???
Aren't you kind of in the wrong country?

RedCherry 2008-10-03 12:56 PM

I love that JibJab, lol. Sent it to my family. :)

LMFAO That was great.

amadman 2008-10-03 01:32 PM

I will be voting.

Someone has to cast a vote for me :)

Jim 2008-10-03 02:05 PM

I have had a friend for years that last week I found out was a Republican. It has made for some spirited arguements but since we are voting together, it kind of seems useless. :) I am thinking of hitting him in the knee with a baseball bat and go vote myself. :)

dareutwo 2008-10-03 02:19 PM

I'll be voting in Nov. Not so much for the teleprompter toons, but on a local level Alfred E Newman will be receiving some write ins.

Greenguy 2008-10-03 03:23 PM

My dad |angry| is trying to convince my sister that she has to vote for McCain |huh

Beaver Bob 2008-10-03 03:37 PM

Yes, I am voting and I am volunteering for the Obama campaign here in southern Nevada.

NY Jester 2008-10-03 09:10 PM

I am voting and then packing my van for Canada :)

Mr. Blue 2008-10-03 10:53 PM

I have the luxury of being a New Yorker and already know who my state is voting for...so...I'm voting but I usually just pick some third party candidate because it doesn't matter. Nader must love me by now, lol.

Fonz 2008-10-04 06:50 AM

I'm not a US citizen (surprise surprise) but what's the point of voting? Everyone knows the Republicans will get their victory once again with their pro-war America uber alles campaigning :(

docholly 2008-10-04 10:54 AM

I missed one vote in the 35 years that i've been eligible and that's because I was too lazy to ask for a write in one and didn't feel like driving from the ATL to Jacksonville that day. 2000 and and I have regretted it every single day since.

and just because one is a registered party member, doesn't mean that they have to vote their party line.

secretagentwilly 2008-10-04 03:14 PM

This is a tough one...i'm feeling like my vote isn't important these days...

Actually at this point its Obama's to lose. Even slimeball Karl Rove admits if the electon were held today, it would easy go to Obama.

McCain needs to win pretty much every single swing state just to barely win. If Obama picks them all up, it will be a landslide.

Of course, in this next month we will see a very desperate Republican party get more and more desperate trying to destroy Obama.

papagmp 2008-10-06 02:16 AM

Hell yes - if for no other reason than Colorado has a constitutional amendment on the ballot that would define life as starting at conception - thus making things like some forms of birth control essentially murder.

and then there's the little things like having a cunt for VP - although an intelligent woman might have been nice.

While watching the VP debate last week, all I could think of when Palin went into her cutesy mode was the Church Lady skits that Dana Carvey used to do SNL... it just made me cringe.

Although I believe that this election will be a landslide in Obama's favor, I'm definitely going to vote. All I have to do to know that my vote counts is to remember the 2000 election, where it all ended up coming down to several hundred votes.

HowlingWulf 2008-10-08 08:47 PM

Definately voting. Sadly in the past I didn't take my right to vote seriously. That will not happen again.

saucygirl 2008-10-08 08:53 PM

I will be voting, however I do worry that my vote will be stolen!
