Network solutions deleting my domain???
Just got this email..
Dear Network Solutions Customer, We recently notified you that the registration period for your Network Solutions domain name had expired. As a benefit of having previously registered a domain name(s) with Network Solutions, you are eligible to receive a percentage of the net proceeds that were generated from the renewal and transfer of the domain name you chose not to renew. Renew your domain now - http://www.networksolutions.com You must click on the following link, enter your domain name, and confirm your contact information in order to claim these funds. If your contact information is not correct, you must enter Account Manager and make the appropriate changes prior to clicking "submit" from the confirmation screen. If you do not do this, you will be confirming inaccurate information and will not receive any payment. Checks will only be made payable and mailed to the Account Holder of record. Sincerely, Network Solutions® Customer Support |
I have no domains with them.. only directnic.

I got one of those too, but the link didn't go to networksolutions.com but to http://www.networksolutions.com.sys42.biz/ ... so I just deleted it as spam .. ?
Apart from the link, "my" email looks just like the one you got. |
Phew... my link goes to http://www.networksolutions.com.sys44.mobi/ . Also, the detailed header is weird.
There's been alot of those flying about as i've had a couple too.
I don't have too many domains and still, it freaked me out so thanks again.
I've gotten a lot of those emails this week. At first was a series of messages from eNom and then yesterday they started to come from NetSol. All phishing scheme spams.
It is OBVIOSULY a scam. Another way for someone to get your domain info so they can steal it. Just like the paypal email scams, bank of america and the others.
I just got one from a Doctor's wife in Indonesia |couch|
Got a couple of those too, good thing I noticed the dot instead of slash in the url even though I was sleepy.
