Tuesday - Election Day - Go Vote!
Good Tuesday Peoples |waves|
I got up way too early & I'm going back to bed as soon as I read the board. |
Don't you have a line to go stand in?
We have been having absolutely fucking beautiful fantastic weather. Just work up from another night of sleeping with all the windows open. I feel a relaxing day of a little work, a little bike ride, a little bit of this and a little bit of that. |
Morning, gonna be glued to the TV set today, most likely I will not get any work done.
|
Morning all :)
Big day for you guys in the US so good luck on the voting. |thumb |
Good morning world |waves|
Having the same 'sleeping with the windows open' weather that Cleo has up there. Just perfect right now with a nice cool breeze blowing through the house with 72 F temperature this morning. Mostly just a day with work to get done while watching election returns come in later. But it's so nice out I'll probably find some excuse to drive around the island and run some errands that must need doing. Wishing everyone a big, memorable, historic day...whatever that means to you. :) |
Good Morning All :)

Good day,
I was taken to the clinic on sunday evening because my sis thought I have troubles breathing so I had lung capacity tests and was put on oxygen. I was not too cooperative and told them they should put me to sleep forever instead, so they gave me sedatives. I told them, I mean wrote a note that it won't help, I am not nervous but depressed for not being able to speak at all or to go out, having such creepy lungs. They gave me more sedatives so I had a good night's dream. They sent home with an ER car, a few hours ago. It's a pity sis was there... she likes watching tv and mine is dead so it was accidental. |
Good Morning.
Going to be a beautiful day today. Calling for +17 (65 or so) for a November temperature is great. Also going to see Ovechkin tonight as the Sens are playing Washington. Go Sens! |
Morning
A nice day here too. If I wasn't driving old people to our polling places, I would be on my bike. :) But, that is my day today... I am off to an assisted living facility before 10. |
Good Morning Good Luck to All you that have to vote today . Let see what kinda Day its gonna be.Nothing but a few hours volunteering at the food bank then home to do more web work. Coffee is on help yourself
|
|yawn| Morning..
I had to run out for Dunkin' coffee this morning and even though our polls are open until 7am..there is a massive line formed already. I hope this is a good indication. today is day 1 of SEMA, the automotive aftermarket show which is/was the 2nd largest trade show in the world but with this economy, especially the car meltdown, it will be interesting to see just who shows up. Hope everyone has a GREAT day, take along a water bottle for those standing in line, and vote your conscience because it might just increase the $$ in your mailbox for the future. |thumb |
Morning!

Digifan, so sorry about all your troubles, hope it is better today. I too will be glued to the TV watching voting results. Glad I have one here in the office. Have a good one all! And if you haven't early voted (so glad I did) GO VOTE!!! |

It's my youngest's birthday today, so in between taking him to lunch and celebrating and whatnot I'll try to get a thing or two done. |party |

4 hours later after a 3 hour nap, I feel a little bit better :D
Time for me to go light the Grape Soda scented candle I made for today. |

The wife and I already voted this morning after getting the kids off to school. It was the longest wait I have experienced during an election. There were two people ahead of me, my wife being one of them. |thumb
I'll be sitting here grinding my teeth while watching MSNBC for the rest of the day. I had to drop my daughter off to her grandmother's house the other night. I mentioned Obama. She (the grandmother) referred to him as the lesser of two evils. (I detest people like that.) She said an interesting thing which told me that she gets her political insight from chain emails. "We still don't know who Obama's father is." I replied, "you don't know who McCain's father is either, so what does that have to do with the election?" Of course, in reality, Obama authored a novel about his father, whom he, sadly, only knew briefly, so his identity is only a mystery to those who want it to be or, for some odd reason, have decided that it has something to do with this election. I'm amazed at the amount of utter nonsense, outright lies, and meaningless points people try to use in order to argue against Obama, and worse - how many truly ignorant people believe that shit. He may not be the right candidate for you, but why lie? If you don't like his ideology, simply don't vote for him. Excellent article about the real Barack Obama on Snopes.com: http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/muslim.asp |
My uncle has always been an advocate of the absentee ballot -- and I figure next election, I'll do that. I read the horror stories of the lines at the Early Voting place around here, and while I am proud that our citizens are coming out to vote in record numbers, I didn't relish the fact that the lines were likely to be long. I show up to our polling place, a firestation that represents two districts, walk up to the lady, hand her my license and voter registration card, she hands me these two large pieces of paper (our ballots go through a scanner), told me to walk over to one of the privacy booths and scan the ballot when I was done.
Total time elapsed, 5 minutes to find parking, 5 minutes to have my vote scanned. It will be interesting to compare tonight's results with Tpat's Vote Poll |

Found my old very dusty candle making supplies and I'm making three fast ones with what I found. I usually recycle old wax and have plenty. I also seem to have found a bunch of wicks and scents. I need molds. Like some kewl looking reusable silicone ones. |
I make table candles... I pour wax on a table and set it on fire.
