Top 10 favorite link list sites?
 

Okay so I am making a serious attempt to get into free sites.

I've made dozens of them in my time, but the thing that has always deterred me is the complicated mass of sites out there, and figuring out where to get listed.

I have found entry into this area difficult because of how picky it seems site owners are with the recips. And I understand. But once you submit a site you can't go changing out recips, and when you submit to a bunch of sites that do not list you, you are stuck with sending them traffic for nothing. At least that is what I experienced, but honestly it was a few years ago now.

So I am going to attempt to get to a list of probably 6 sites that I submit to regularly, and hope that my efforts work out. I also know sometimes there is drama with site owners not liking other recips, so all that stuff making it complicated just kept me away.

Now here I am, ready to ask for help. :)

I realize submit lists are very personal and definitely proprietary information, but figured I would make this thread nonetheless.

Off the top of my head, there are three I figure are some of the bigger ones I'd like to get listed on.

Linkorama of course
Penisbot
and Jays XXX Links always a mention.

So I really only need three more, and with 6 recips on my freesites, I should be good to go. No?

first imho you should be looking to submit to like 20-40 linklists.
also maintaining a recip submit list is an ongoing project in itself, start out with like 70+ linklists and submit some sites, then go look at your stats and see who is and who is not listing your sites, remove the ones that are not, you might at this time want to replace them with a new linklist and give them a round of submissions.....try to keep this list as fresh as possibe cause as you said you dont want to give traffic away for nothing, i try to update mine every week sometimes every two weeks or so but you gotta do a bunch and you gotta keep them fresh other lists don't want to see dead recips on your site either.

I've made probably close to 400-500 free sites in the last 2+ years (hell its almost been 3 years since I've been doing this free site/linklist shit, haha). Anyways the sites that are the best in my opinion are of course green guy, penisbot, wetplace, tommys bookmarks, smut gremlins, pornmovielinks

Those are the mainstays in my submit list, which I usually fill out with other sites, I used to make mirrors and submit to close to 40 sites, now I just make one with 15-18 recips (depending on niche). But if I were going to just submit to 6 places those would be the 6 I submitted to.

I also should note, that those sites are also ones that always list me, sometimes greenie has a reviewer nazi working for him, haha (Murray??? haha) that every once in a while declines my sites for the movies loading too slow (but fails to realize I sometimes use 10-12 meg movie files instead of 1-3). But not only do those sites send the most traffic, they dont decline you for crazy reasons, you follow the rules.... you get listed simple as that.

Back when I tried to expand my submit list I would get declines from linklists whose total traffic is less than the fisted and pissed on midgets page on link o rama (well it would be the case if he had that page, he might nowadays, haha), it just pissed me off knowing that my shit is good enough to get listed on the big boys, but some little unkown prick is declining my sites when the fucker is probably getting more traffic from my recip link than the link list would ever send me. So I just said fuck it and stick to one recip table.

I'm not saying you shouldnt submit to little sites (I still want submits to my own linklist, haha), but if you have other stuff going on that keeps you way busy, and only have so much time to devote to free sites then that seems to be the best way, at least for me anyways.

And you're not supposed to change a site once it is listed, right? That was the problem I had. It was a real headache.

so it is okay to change recips on sites that have already been listed at places? confused.

I just really don't want to waste too much time. I'm new at this but not a noob in general.

I know everyone's rules are different too.

but I do need to just get started and get past the fluff.

I figured I would just go with 6 sites because it sounds nice and easy, but also noticed on the linkorama rules page:

Number Of Other Link Lists You Are Submitting To: 5

...and under trusted, it drops down to 2. Hmm that doesn't make sense...

So if you submit to linkorama you have to stick with 6 total, or do you mirror?

I don't want to mirror, I don't think it is as healthy. But if that is how its done I'll give it a shot.

No problem :) But yeah, still taboo to change a site once its submitted. Free sites for me are a submit it and forget it type of deal. If a site doesnt list you or some new idea you tried doesnt work, its just a chalk it up as a lesson learned and move on to the next site.

I dont mirror, I have 15-18 recips on each site I submit to. They just want a minimum of 6 so that they aint the only site you are submitting to, and they want some traffic back too. I wouldnt go any higher than 18-20 recip links, and if you do more than 9-10 its best to go with custom recip links. No big deal, I havent had any problems getting listed.

no you don't change the site but if your doing alot of submissions and have multiple recip tables you want to replace the ones that don't except you before your next submission, if that makes sense...lol.
i am kinda geting back to freesites myself and thats just how i am doing it for now a lot of sites with a decent amount of submits than maybe as i widdle down my list of sites i submit too over time i will have a list of 20 or so that always list me.

i forgot to mention....also if you start with a large amount than end up with a nice set of 30-40 linklists you can split that down and do two or three free sites a day as most only allow one submit a day.

bla bla bla, first i dont prefer to submit to 100s of linksites, why because i would use my real index for it, i would only submit to 16 or 20 linksites, its better for ses, and i would only submit to the linksites who will list me forever, small or big,smaller is also good, because from every 5 clicks i get in a niche 1 sale will be enough, so the smaller the linksite the sooner i get a sale in the niche:)

submit to the big ones... then if you are going to be active on this board. I'd make mirrors of people on here. Like submitting to mine. Cause you know you are going to be able to get a hold of the owner of the link list and talk if you weren't listed.

I think it's worth it to submit to as many as possibly. I know from my stats that submitting to smaller ones makes sales. And if at the end of the year I was able to make my car payment for a couple months or whatever off sales from smaller link lists or just SE traffic that ended up at my mirrored version of the site. Well shit... I think it was worth it for the little extra work. Specially if it's a sponsors where a surfer rebilled for 3-4 months.

that sounds like an alright idea, if people are okay with it I suppose why not.

I am realizing my issue with the recips is because I do plan to link my own sites and send traffic. Of course I don't want to send my own traffic to mirrors, so that complicates things. I want it to all go smoothly.

I doubt I'll find the time to mirror though, and its not something I like to do anyhow. But appreciate the opinions, nonetheless.

yes tell the same after you mirrored all your free sites after 1 year, if the linksites dont list you forever your gone (big waist of time), you will find your mirriors not linked anymore to the linksites you submitted too (give me one efford why the hell you submit mirror sites to linksites who wont list you forever), (why the fuck make a site which dont get traffic and got dumped after a month?),and google will hit your site as an site with duplicate content and text ( so no listing in ses), you will only find the mirrior sites back in google of the free sites you submitted too who will link you forever. make your pick!

Use your fucking brains and check all , you sites and the linksites you submit too.....do i have to tell all??? oh posting more isnt the deal to make more friends, working and do you thing and posting makes you more friends, lett people see you and notice your work........and i will bash whenever i want:D This board is for free speech...so who will lett you not to tell you own opinion?

Lately I've been making a site which conforms to the LOR trusted submitter guidelines, and submit to sites that will accept it. I make one mirror for list that do not accept it.
