I actually looked into this a bit further after this discussion. The guy that bought it was already running it for years. He knows exactly what it is worth.

$1M for a site selling sex toys is a good investment... sextoys.com has a really great looking site too, also valuable.

Type ins, SEO combined should earn them good revenue.

Remember that branding costs money. If you spend $100k branding an unknown domain anyway, why not get a good domain and save your money.

Type ins arent what they used to be and have been steadily declining for the past 5 years.

A domain is only as good as the content on it. Sure it is a good name, but that alone is worth nothing if its a shit website with poor marketing. domains don't broker they way they used to, the boom is over, has been for a long time as I'm sure most of you know already.
