Googles new street level maps
 
Anyone checked out the new street level maps? It's very cool.

heres the city centre in Christchurch

I think the only next step is to have it streaming live!
Google is having a lot of complaints about privacy issues with this.

Haven't they been out for about a year?

I'm not sure about the validity of the privacy claims. You can't see anything you wouldn't see while walking down the street. Close your damn curtains if you don't want people to see you.

They have been around for a long time and they're cool when selecting hotels and things like that.

While New Zealand may be the furtherst country ahead in terms of what time it is, rumour has it (from my Kiwi friends) that the country is still actually lurking somewhere around 1950 :-))

NZ got google maps sometime last week, I think.

But
Yeah , imagine a guy seeing his wife/girlfriend spotted by google camera making out with neighbor.Or something like that.|lol|
Worst even scenario is that a bank heist can be really prepared from home , possible escape routes etc..

We're in the process of buying a house down here and streetview really helped to weed some trash out from the real estate results before going to see it - incredibly helpful.
LOL, yeah ok, it's new to us here in NZ.

When I looked at them last year I thought I reconized UW with a hot tranny(maybe Foxy) heading into an hourly motel.|whisper|
