Lets talk about exclusive content ...

I know quite a few content producers that are having difficulty in sales lately to the point where they are thinking of getting out of the bizz . It seems to me there is a downfall in that aspect of the industry because there is not much of a demand for that anymore its a much tougher market ...

What do you think of whats going to happen in the near future in terms of content producers that shoot mainstream and selling the rights to anyone ? Is it still going to sell ? What type of changes can you see happening ? What about the type of content fetishes / mainstream stuff like teens , lesbian , boobs ect....
Personally , I feel that either content guys should shoot for their own sites or go all exclusive otherwise I can't see this continuing for much longer ....

I know at least 2 content providers who are on their way OUT of the market: both were shooting mainstream content and reselling it ... That's facts.

Now some speculation. I think the future of content production is EXCLUSIVE - that's why we specialize in exclusive. That doesn't just extend to the type of content but also to the models. They need to be 100% fresh and not overexposed for the exclusive thing to work.

Also, we focus on niches and fetishes (instead of mainstream). Our most popular niches of course are teen and lez which are pretty much mainstream now but we also do all sorts of wild stuff: from light bondage to diapers, etc. A lot of t-shirt shoots too.

Any more opinions?

Some content producers have only themselves to blame... overpriced, poor quality, bad service, poor websites... etc..

Like most areas of this biz a little rationalisation is only going to help.

IMO

I couldnt have said it better myself, whats even going to scale down the crowd a bit too is the guys that "claim" to sell exclusive content at great prices, than they shoot shit, it's not what you asked for, the service still sucks, the time factor isnt impressive either.

Alot of the "Exclusive" shooters nowa days are just an extension of the shitty stores they had, etc.

We currently use 5 Producers Consistantly, we expand to 10 when we need to (so the other 5 kinda swing), we often try new one's out, just to get aggrivated in the end.

Club Xstream is by far the best to deal with, they are just as concerned about the quality I want, as I am, they are quick, priced perfectly, and they dont play games, they work with us, not against us, there's plenty out there that work against you, or promise the world and simply cant deliver.

Some providers will do only exclusive but others will simply have 2 prices.

$ - for a license to use on YOUR OWN pay site, AVS site and Free/TGP sites.

$$$ - To use for your affiliates and hosted galleries

Think about it. How many times have you thought that some content was really great but you see it listed every where as hosted galleries? I stopped spending about $8k a year with one company because every time I bought some new content I got an email from an affiliate giving it away. Basically 2 or 3 large pay site programs can purchase the content and make it worthless.

They simply need to change with the business just like we all do. Once they start profiting again they'll be able to produce better stuff and find new models.
