New Years' Resolutions?

Yeah, I know.. we all make them and then quit trying by the end of January. Same resolutions, year after year and we get nowhere. Maybe we need some real ones?

For 2009, I am going to try hard to build 2-3 quality freesites plus at least 2 galleries every week. I will also try to sub all of these. I have spiffy new domains to sub from, so I have lots to do.

I am not going to force the weight loss or exercise, cause I know I will fall by the wayside too fast. I think I will stay with my first one and keep it.

Spend less time at at the gym. Watch more TV. Eat more junk food. Maybe take up smoking cigarettes and drinking. Do more drugs. Cheat on my partner. Not feel guilty about not keeping my new year's resolutions

Submit a few new sites with some fresh ideas I have been waiting to put on the table.. and hope they take to the industry. Finish my LL, its been ongoing since October and I seem to be bored with its development. Install my new server rack and few pretty 1U's :D

Smile more and less worry about everything.

I'm definitely quitting smoking cigarettes, but only cigarettes |potleaf|
So I'm planning on gaining some weight, which I'll lose next year.

Nope - not changin a thing so don't leave your sister anywhere near me.

I intend to strive to be in the now, and to do what happens.

Both incredibly much harder than they sound.

:)

I'm going to make sure I exercise, eat right,and.....cut back on smoking cigs this year. That oh so arrogant feeling of invincibility because I'm in my 20's is dying down now that I'm headed for 30 in a few months.

I started lifting weights today for the first time in 2 years and it felt good to get back into it.I just hope my motivation lasts :)

Absolutely difficult. To be conscious of yourself, existing in the present moment is to really be awake. Holding that perspective, observing yourself, for any amount of time is very hard work.
It's a helluva lot easier to just drift into the waking sleep.

I was going to resolve to not make any resolutions, but I decided that was self-defeating. ;)

Four years ago I said I was going to buy new couches next year for the living room. Today I actually finally bought new couches so I guess I'm only for years behind in my new year's resolutions.

I make resolutions every year that I don't keep. I forgot to do that this year. :)

Have a better garden with more variety this year. I've been doing a lot of research the last week or two on when to plant and what to grow. Last year, my outside garden ended up being a tomato forest, lol.

Submit my 3 galleries every day, and try to miss no more than one day a month at it. I've been doing that now for awhile.

Start submitting a free site every few days.

Keep updating the link lists with new sponsors, and splitting up the categories.

Work on diet and exercise, that is really, really hard for me. Even if I don't lose weight, getting toned up so I'm not one big cramp when I do yard work would be great. |thumb

No more stupid gambling and too much of online poker.

Another trip to the mountains and my first real freeride.

Work and not chat with some chicks online.

Have a great year y`all! :)

I don't believe in lying to myself so I make no "Resolutions". :D

raven1083 2009-01-04 04:28 AM

My New Year's Resolutions: If I can't loose weight, I'm making everyone else gain it. |nahnah|

Did this reverse psychology work? I figure either way you win...

I seem to be failing at my new years resolutions once again. I'm going to the gym more then ever, TV still bores me, junk food makes me vomit, I still think cigarettes are gross, booze just make me feel ill and puts me to sleep, drugs beside weed just bore me and I prefer to spend the money at the mall, and my partner says how can I cheat on her when she doesn't care who I have sex with although she would prefer to watch.

Improve things that helps me to be a better person and remove the bad things and attitude that just gave me some problems.

saucygirl 2009-01-13 09:19 PM

Stop hanging around friends that are my trigger to smoke cigarettes.
