What would you do with exclusive softcore content
 

My friends and I were planning to launch our own softcore paysite. We shoot quite a bit of content. Girls, 20-25 years old, posing nude, various locations... Have a few vids too. Content is similar to Met-Art's, with some of Met-Art models too, some models are exclusive.
But now we are not sure when or if we are going to have that website up and running. We're thinking maybe to sell that content to someone. What would you do with a pile of softcore sets? How would you price them?

What is holding you back?

Stay on course. Otherwise, it seems awfully strange to be wandering around, shooting nude photos of girls, while having no set strategy as to what you are going to do with the content.

I'd stick to the plan and launch the site anyway; the thing is that one of the major expenses for any paysite is content, and you are getting it for a lower price than someone who has to go purchase it :)

We had a team and a plan, now we don't have a team, so we are reconsidering our strategy. Well need to find new partners to continue gathering content. At least a model manager and a photographer, or 2 in 1.
Seems like the competition on this market is already huge and growing. Every other day new erotic paysite site pops up. Which is a bit discouraging.

If they are the same quality as MET you can visit their page to see what they pay for reference. In fact, you could always sell your content to them. This can be a good way to build your name before opening up your own erotic site, Hegre comes to mind.

Do you have any samples? You might get better advice knowing the quality of the content.

It sounds like you're a web guy and you've lost your content people. Is that correct?

Yes, we lost our content people. We could probably find and hire new guys, just evaluating whether it will be worth it. |huh

On one hand I gotta give you credit for getting the content part tucked away.On the other hand...and please take this as the constructive criticism it's meant to be - the content itself is sorta....cheese,no offense.Even though it's similar to MET-ART's style,the quality just isn't there at all -hi rez or not.Making a buck in online adult is tough these days.With all the competition,free content,the economy etc. you really gotta come out swingin' hard to make surfers even THINK about pulling out that plastic for porn.

If you go hunting for new photographers,I suggest looking for someone that gets something out of those hot bitches at the end of a shoot. :)

Star Man, i actually agree with you, im not quite happy with the photographer's style either.
I ran soft sites and i can see Met is so far the best seller. With tons of quality content by different photographers and with hundreds of models...

I worked with solo babe/amateur girl stuff in the past and it just seems to be a tough sale with surfers regardless of the site.Maybe I just suck at promoting it.

Don't get me wrong either.By 'cheese' I just mean cookie cutter stuff as far as porn gos.Having your own exclusive content is cool as hell.Those are your bitches!:D
