theres a few little problems but....

opinions, comments ???

i wanna know what you really think

Ramster 2009-01-27 12:07 PM

I think I like it. I think I'd drop showing the non clickable url, makes it confusing/hard to read the description.

I always wanted to do a link list that had thumb previews like that but I never did.

Looks a bit strange on my 30" monitor despite my browser not being full screen.

Also what Ramster.

plateman 2009-01-27 12:18 PM

yeah I like it too but I agree I wouldnt show the url that's unclickable, plus your surfers could spot the hosted galls that way

smutguy 2009-01-27 12:33 PM

Looks really good... I like the addition of thumbnails to your site.

+1 for dropping unclickable url

Evil Chris 2009-01-27 01:24 PM

Looks clean and orderly. Good stuff!

NY Jester 2009-01-27 02:28 PM

Looks good Tommy Im in agreement, drop the visible URL. Kind of like an unneeded extra. Also not that I want to add more work for you, but is there a way to make it a two column lay-out? You'd have less "white space" on the right side. Just a thought.

Tommy 2009-01-27 03:11 PM

do you guys think i should use the thumbs in the existing index ??

emac 2009-01-27 03:16 PM

You made a great job bud!
looks cool.

dunc 2009-01-27 04:57 PM

The thumbs do look good - I like them

But it also (IMHO) makes it easier for people just to skim links, whereas text links kind of create an urge to click - just to see whats there.

Could you split test in someway?

PhoneMistress 2009-01-27 06:25 PM

Overall it’s fine.

Have you considered filling the white space by displaying the thumbs in rows? I would link the title for SEO purposes but dunc has a point.

I know guys look at the still but I prefer to know the sub-niche before clicking on anything. So I would include the genre near the number of movies.

Sweet, clean, easy to find what you want. Put me at +2 for getting rid of the non-clickable links.

Thumbs in the existing? Others are not - it's another way to stand out from the crowd, plus it helps those who are reading-challenged maybe find something they want to click on.
