Worlds Largest Crystal Sphere
 

MadHatter and I went into Vegas to a rock shop, and they took us in the back room and showed us this. Holy cow, this thing retails for over $500,000! I think he said it was hand cut and polished out of a single crystal weighing over 30,000 lbs. It felt like touching electricity.

I took the pics with my phone. I took the first one, and realized without me standing in it, you'd have no idea of size of this thing, so took a 2nd one with me in it.

They said they were waiting for the new owners to purchase it, then get in the guiness world book of records. They have a feeling Steve Wynn will end up buying it, he had been by several times to look at it.

I couldn't believe when I was touching it and saw that little tiny price sticker...it was like 532,000, I was thinking that is worth my house...doubled.

1) That would make a great centerpiece for a fountain somewhere...

i guess Steve Wynn is waiting until his divorce is final so he doesn't have to split it with Elaine.

Maybe he's still stuck on top of the new tower.

I will get a hold of you next time, we had to go to so many places yesterday, lunch was a bag of potato chips in the car on the go, lol. I don't ever want to come to Vegas again, and have to run around that much in that short of period of time.

In March, my brother is coming, and we are going to try and spend a night or two in Vegas...I'd love to hook up then. :)

They were talking about that commercial, and said he actually did sit on the edge of that tower, that wasn't green screen or something like that. The manager of the store sounded like he basically told him he was crazy to do that, lol. I've got to look that up on youtube, I've never seen that commercial.

With all those cracks, I wouldn't offer them more than $499,875. :D
