What's the best strategy for a second paysite?
Running already 18closeup in the teen & closeup niches, we are considering releasing a second paysite and have 2 potential domains for it: sex-up-close.com and hotHDteenSex.com
The content would be High Definition Hardcore so both domains are relevant to the content. Considering that we have many affiliates in the closeup niche and in the teens niches, releasing sex-up-close.com would probably be interesting - as all our existing affiliates would have the opportunity to add the fhgs of both closeup sites. On the other hand, (even if 18closeup is softcore and sex-up-close would be hardcore), having another site in the closeup niche could be considered as "shooting yourself in the foot". Nevertheless, many of our affiliates have dozens of niches - including hardcore. But releasing a just-another-hd-hardcore-paysite in the most oversaturated niche could also seem pointless. So maybe this is all about the domain name being great. In that case, sex-up-close.com seems better? |banghead| Any valuable wisdom would be welcome at this stage |huh lol |
I'm interested in the answer to this question from anyone who has experience with it.
I'm starting a new site as well so maybe we can learn from one another. |
I'm not a paysite owner, but maybe you could ask your existing affiliates. In your next newsletter, solicit some feedback to see if it's something they can use or will promote.
Or contact some of your high-volume affiliates that sell that niche and see if they'd be willing to beta a new site or would promote it, etc. Just a thought. |

sex-up-close is not a good domain name for a paysite. hyphens are a bad idea.
From experience do NOT open a second paysite that is similar in category listing and content to the other you have. |
