great read. I'm going to have to look over that in a little more detail later on.

Thanks for a great article.

I can say for sure that keywords in the title are a real help. I had a mainstream client who wanted a top 10 ranking for her keys words. Of course, I couldn't guarantee anything but when I put the words in title, she went from 100+ to number 9 in a matter of weeks. I wish I'd known that five years ago.

Very nice SEO reading but to implement all of these techniques together would be impossible. If you do it to perfect it's not good too.

Y'all are welcome |bananna|
pclit - I agree. Please note though, that even these guys don't agree amongst themselves about what works. I do like that they start with the ones that have the most consensus and work their way down...

Good stuff...it is important to note though that that was done in 2007. Some things have changed since then.

Agree'd Google is pretty fluid now with so many different servers that they use nation and world wide. Also I have experenced search engine ranking changing daily on highly trafficed terms.

In my experence learn the basics and build and build and build more with good content. The higher ranking sites, espically free sites are the larger more popular sites. One reason is interanl link structure and also the more pages of content you have the more likely you are to get links into your site. If you have never focused on your internal link structure and linking within your website to other pages and such, you should really focus on it if even for a month of solid work. I have saw my free site personaly explode in rankings from internal link structure improvement and also just busting my ass building more and more content.
