Favourite Toys?

OK, y'all, I have a question for you.

What is your favourite techie toy? Your iPhone? Your Wii? The Kindle? Talk to me.

Also, has anyone tried any of the game-console/ web-access plug ins? What are your thoughts?

Greenguy 2009-03-04 08:45 AM

My favorite is The Real Touch! :D

Right now, it's my LG Dare, but I think I'd rather have an iPhone.

Toby 2009-03-04 08:48 AM

Odd as it may seem, considering how long I've been doing this 'puter thing, I'm not really into techie toys.

Cleo 2009-03-04 09:01 AM

Hard to say, I have a lot of toys, but I guess it is my iPhone that I use the most.

Ramster 2009-03-04 10:54 AM

I'm looking to maybe pick up a new cell phone soon that does more than my blackberry. Other than that I do not have any tech thingys.

Why do you want an iPhone?

Well, there's an app for that. :P Do you find your battery life is short? That's the biggest complaint I hear about the iPhones.

Doesn't seem to be an issue for me but I do carry this in my purse just in case. They also make all kinds of external batteries, like this one, for those with diarrhea of the mouth.

I've tinkered with Yell's a lot, and I like the browser better then mine. Plus it has WiFi. Mine has no WiFi - and I have FiOS in my house! You'd think they'd turn it on & let you use it on their wireless that you're paying for. But why would I want to use the router that's 10 feet away from me when I can hit that town 2 miles away?

I still cary a notebook with me and I don't mean a notebook computer.

Liz, you had mentioned the significant amount of time necessary to encode each Real Touch scene. How many of the AEBN videos will be Real Touch encoded and how many will be added every week?

I can't say how many scenes in total will be encoded when all is said and done, as content needs and availability shift. We will have several hours of new scenes added weekly - a big factor in that is the selection of content.

Looks like Verizon is obsessing over the iPhone for departing customers.

ArtWilliams 2009-03-04 04:26 PM

Mine would be the Google phone!

LD 2009-03-04 05:09 PM

I just got an iphone, so I guess it's my favorite right now. My daugher had to set it up for me, but it's so freakin' easy to use. Nice big numbers, gps is cool. I'm pissed about paying extra for network charge, though.

The toy I'm really wanting but don't have is a broadband connect usb thingie for my laptop...ATT and Verizon both have one, another $60 bucks a month though.

The blackberry I have does not have a camera so I'd like a new phone that has a good camera on it as well.

bDok 2009-03-04 07:53 PM

i like my iPhone. It's been pretty awesome thus far. The only other tech item I've gotten recently is my new tv and it's awesome. I'd like a ps3 or xbox360, but that would have me probably playing around too much. Would rather not get distracted and spend my time working on projects and making money.

Mike-mijen 2009-03-04 08:37 PM

I Say my PC is my biggest tech toy. I love it. LOL

Fair enough - I have a BBerry Curve I've been using for almost two years, and it's been pretty good. I'm just a nerd and curious about why someone would choose one smart phone over another. ^.^

Have fun this weekend

Well I guess any smartphone is better than a regular cell phone because of all the extra goodies you can get with a smartphone and plus they look so much cooler too. But I honestly don't know which is best just depends on what you want.

bluemoney 2009-03-07 04:20 PM

If I could could pick one? It would be LizAEBN |flowers|

NY Jester 2009-03-07 08:26 PM

Well, Ive always wanted to get into using a Mac, but have just always remained a PC guy.

Game wise, I on 360 but would like to pick up a PS3

I have a Voyager cell phone but really would like a new touch Blackberry (I think its the storm)
