Google PR April Update

Google Updated its PR this month. Not that it is that important anymore, my blog http://www.teenrave.org went from a PR 4 to a PR 3 but gets several times more google traffic than it did even 3 month ago.

if you want to check your pr you can check it with http://www.prchecker.info

lol! I had a PR6 a few years back, it dropped to a 5 and I got more google traffic, dropped to a 4 and I got more traffic, now it's been a steady 3 for about a year. Anyone have any ideas on how I can drop it to a PR2? ;)

No kidding right. I think when they make something public like that, then they devalue it. They just like to make people chase their tails.

Well, as more pages are added to the web, the overall PR is diluted, so it makes sense PR naturally drops unless you add more content/links/etc to counter it.

I have over 12 pages added daily, it has more to do with than just that.

Links, pages, traffic and the fact that PR is not as important in SERPS as in the past.

It is more important to webmasters exchanging links..LOL

I think webmasters should focus on exchanging links with good sites, and not pay attention to PR. And, I believe that is what Google would prefer.

I agree with you whitey. The more links in you can get the better. Also the more content you can post the better, as far as google is concerned.

The one thing I have noticed about PR. The more PR a site has, the more spam recip requests I receive.
