Where my sales come from - April
I like numbers and stats, so thought I'd share what I just did.
For my #1 sponsor I have a domain FPA everything goes through instead of direct to the sponsor, so I'm unable to track the different traffic sources, but I'd say most of it is from TGP galleries. That's 48% of my sales for April. The remaining 52% of sales I do send directly to the sponsor, and here's what I found for the breakdown: TGP Galleries: 22% Blogs: 20% 'No referrer': 16% (grrr) Bookmark: 9% (made sale from returning surfer off cookie) Legal Tubes: 8% Shemale TGP: 6% Freesites: 4% Rateme sites: 3% Landing pages & hubs: 3% (Does not add up to 100% because of rounding) At first I was a little surprised at the sales from blogs and freesites, but then remembered all my freesites link back to one or more of my niche sites (mostly blogs) so that makes more sense. |
Thanks HowlingWulf - good info

Good to see you are having luck with TGP's I tried TGP's for a few months and did not see the results that would make it worth my time doing it daily.
Are you buying partner accounts or submitting to free tgp's? |
OOT - but just added a linktrade with ftv danielle

what percentage of your time do you spend on each of those traffic sources.
|
I'll assume that means total work time, and not including my play time. :P I try not to work too much.
I'll have to guestimate, since lately I usually only build tgp galleries and a freesite daily, then do a little maintenance and maybe work on a new site. TGP galleries: 50% (2-5 per day) Trying to maximize the partner accounts. A freesite: 20% (1 per day) Takes more time than a gallery. Big LLs take 1/day. Blogs: 7% (no schedule. once in a while I sit down and crank out a bunch of drafts I write myself or hand morph. Each blog randomly chooses one of the drafts every X days so I try to keep 10+ in the queue for each from different sponsors) 'Approving submissions' sites: 3% maybe 10min/day. I don't get too many. Everything Else: 25% New scripts or new sites. I just had to convert a rateme style database into wordpress, hack a couple plugins to work together, and redesign rateftvgirls.com which took quite a few hours. Now on to the next site.... never a shortage on my todo list. The great thing about this biz is the flex time, so you can work 2-12 hours a day if you want. |
thank you for sharing HowlingWulf
I really like the break down of your work time... i might have to start rethinking how i do things |
Good info HW - I'd be interested in hearing from others, about te time spent on each aspect that they work on. I myself, could probably go 7-9 hours a day (split up ove rthe course of a day) if I do each part of the puzzle. But I have set out to be productive 5 days a week to include TGP Galleries, Free Sites, Blogging, Pic Posts, Reviews Etc. And one day for new projects. Im hoping that schedule will be better in the long run as I was finding myself not motivated even when sales got slow to keep producing each and every day

I spend about 2 hrs a day on my blog ripping galleries and posting updates. All of my stuff is scheduled so i try and stay a few days ahead in case something happens I cant post updates or I decide to take a random vacation.
Then I spend time working with my Juicy Ads responsibilities. |
nice breakdown, way to spread it out!

really good info...thanks for sharing
