Good morning everyone :)

Today was D Day 65 years ago and the beaches of Normandy were being stormed by thousands of troops from many of the countries around the world that members of this board now live in.

We've come a long way since then and times change as is evident by the business we are in and although there is still trouble out there, the worlds a pretty free place when all's said and done.

It's a day to spare a thought for those who made our lives possible and to take time out to enjoy the sun with friends and family.

I'm probably not going to storm anything today and instead help a friend rearrange things in his basement so he has a recovery point for his bypass surgery next week.

Wow, I actually see a blue sky without clouds this morning. It's rained so much over the last few weeks that water is still dripping off my roof. I'm sure it is hot and muggy out with swarms of very hungry mosquitoes. Good day to do indoor stuff like going to the gym and planting my fat ass in front of the computer.

Watched a cute funny flick last night called I want Candy about college guys that make a porn movie.

Going to try to finish craving up my Latina cat today along with the usual crap.

We're heading home from Vegas in about 2 hours - just called to get the bags picked up.

Good afternoon all:) the temp is nice but still to cold compared with some days ago.
My lowerback is killing me, probably i have bin sitting to much behind the puter yesterday and my damn painkillers are not helping me getting rid of the pain|cry|. I have to see how this eve will go with my back, if no improvement i will be at the doc this eve.

Had a great time at Doc Holly's with the gang last night...Doc you did nice :)

Was a really fun trip, never mind my profits (they were pretty as I built a bit on the 16k profits from last Sundays run), just getting to meet so many of you again and so many I've chatted with on the boards and never met before (Emerald really is a little smut gremlin...or is that slut gremlin ;) )

Yell and I are headed out so not sure which sports book we will do the Belmont at...

Last night in vegas so time to party :)

Absolutely, I've met 2 guys guys who were there, one Canadian and one German, and they are very good friends.

The Canadian guy said he was scared shitless and threw up all the way over the water, but says he doesn't remember much about what happened after he hit the beach. He went on and finished the war when he was shot in the face in Holland.

The German guy said that he knew the war was over right away when he saw the numbers of planes, boats and people coming after him, but he fought until he took five bullets and was taken prisoner. He moved to Canada after the war because most of his family were killed and the Canadians treated him well as a prisoner.

Both very brave men who fought against each other while they were teenagers, and have been friends for almost 40 years.

There are fewer and fewer veterans left from that war, and they all deserve our respect. The ones who fought on the winning side also deserve our thanks.

i know it's after midnight but just wanted to pop in to say thanks for a GREAT and very memorable week to everyone who came to Vegas this week -- it was awesome seeing all of you even if only for a few moments in passing...
