My filmmaking "career"
 

OK so today I'm board whoring about the place and I realise I haven't really posted here for absolutely ages, even though I check in every day.

I thought I'd post about the new and ridiculous hobby that's been sucking up my time - attempting to make movies. I've done a couple of short courses on filmmaking and last year I bought a video camera of eBay. Since then I've made one porn movie that's now on For The Girls as well as this little silly video called "Paddling the Pink Canoe":

It was actually going to just be a 30 second promo for FTG but I kept coming up with new things to film. Those are my gloved hands in the video and me in the kayak (we were thrilled to find that at a local hire place. It made for an interesting phone conversation: "Hello, do you have a pink canoe for hire?").

We are now using bits of it as an FTG promo but I'm also submitting the film to festivals here and there.

And something that's really becoming apparent the more I look at mainstream filmmaking: it's for lunatics. There's so much competition, you don't make any money, there's all sorts of people lining up to screw you and it requires a huge amount of effort and stress to get anything accomplished.

Gotta say, online porn is still a much better career. Sure, there's still lots of competition and people who want to screw you but at least you work from home

I do, however, have a porn script written and hope to get it made at some point.

I think someone should make a porn flick called "pimps" and make it like the opposite of "cops". It would be a pretty cool scene when the "pimps" film crew comes face to face with the "cops" film crew.

Pretty cool movie, but spreading the meat hanging on a clothesline was pretty disgusting.

LOL Tommy, that's "buffin' the muffin" - the drill had the buffer attachment on it.

A lot of them were unfilmmable but there were enough to make a film.

The tea cup had my husband and I alternately giggling and feeling ill. We got some of his hair, cut it up and stuck it onto double sided sticky tape, put it around the tea cup.

It's kind of ridiculous that I spent a week obsessed with masturbation slang terms, buying props, painting tacos pink. It was a lot of fun though.

Choking the chicken only got in there because we found a rubber chicken in an import shop while looking for props and quickly got the camera and gloves out, sneakily filmed it. It shouldn't really be in there because it's more of a male term but who can resist a rubber chicken?
