My First LL
 

Well, I finally got the site built. My new LL is notoriouslinks.com and I would really appreciate it if you guys would submit as many free sites to me as you wish. I am trying to build the site up, of course. I know it isn't as professional looking as some other ones out there, but I did everything on the site myself, and I am no graphic designer. I can get by but anything that requires artistic creativity I am at a loss.

Anyways, thanks in advance, back to building this LL. Still have to get ad rotations on the category pages. I thought I would hold off putting a million banners on the site for now, why concentrate on ads when you just started the site is the way I see it. The more it builds then I will start papering it with more ads.

my sites don't really look like the others one, though, so I won't be offended if you don't use it

Blue, if you mean the other ones I have up there, those are sponsor free sites, they are premade by the sponsor so they will always be different than user made ones. Secondly, I won't be offended by anything, build as many as you want and submit them. I will most certainly accept them. If there are a thing or two really wrong with them, the worst I will do is ask you to make an adjustment at this point, not reject them. Thanks in advance!

Thanks, I checked and yes many of the categories are empty, for now anyway, I am adding sites as I go. Some sites that may look like they are in one category are probably blogs, which all go in the blog cat, no matter the content.

Looks good, nice and straightforward layout. What script is that? Good luck and be patient. It took me almost a year before I started getting good submits on a regular basis.

Wow, thanks guys/gals, I appreciate the positive feedback. I must say, I tend to always stay away from boards because I always feel that many AW run their mouth just to show everyone how important or successful they are. I was surprised to find that it was not the case here, while yes some people may disagree with you, but it is usually followed by a well thought out explanation.

Oh and yes, it is LinkX. I have used their stuff for years, back when Autorank first came out I had a million and one "Friend's Pages" sites around the web.

The script is pretty good, you can have a working link list in a few minutes, that is if you leave the templates the way they are. Of course, that wasn't an option for me :) I brought everything within a 700 pixel width as to serve all resolutions without side scrolling. I did a mix of CSS and tables, 100% pure CSS was just not working with all the different {if} {else} functions, too many orphaned divs and stuff. Not that it couldn't work, but I wanted to get the site the way I wanted it to look, not work on the design for 8 weeks. One thing I did realize is how much work it has been of how much it will be if I want to have a halfway decent LL. I like it though, something different for me.

I added the RSS to HTML porn blog aggregator to my page for some added fresh daily content (sponsor RSS of course). I might even turn the domain into a free Adult Blog Host, like Thumblogger or SexusBlog. I could install WordPress MU and do it that way. That is down the road though. I also could just add a million auto-updated splogs to this domain as well and funnel the incomign to the LL.

Anyways, any LL webmaster want to trade, give me some free sites of theirs to list (not Spons please), or want to trade hard links let me know. I would LOVE it if any of you could do a submit page link recip with me , you know like "submit to these other great LL too" type of link. Let me know, nickATnotoriouslinksDOTcom
