Good morning and Happy Father's Day! My guess is that one kid [my son] will have a card for me and the other [my daughter] will tell me to "fuck off". Guess that is batting .500 -- great if you're a baseball player.

I've got lots of chores today so I think this may be the on-line portion of the day. Have a great day everyone.

It's only June and we've already had a couple of weeks of hot & humid, temps in the upper 90's with more of the same in the forecast for the next week or more. Looking forward to the cooler temps in SF, if I can survive until my flight on Wed AM.

This must be the week for stones. Friday I went to the doctor for a UTI and he put me on antibiotics. Last night I was in excruciating pain and then pissed out a small bloody stone or something. I was in so much pain that I drank a about a quarter of a bottle of whisky and now I can't remember anything that happened after that.

My head feels like a freight train is going through it but I'm not in pain anymore at least.

Fuck!

Lightweight. I dont start forgetting until after a litre of scotch (real neat, AKA right out of the bottle).

I wouldn't know. I don't normally drink. I really don't like alcohol at all. |potleaf|

Two out of three kids are visiting for the weekend so up late last night talking about old times. My daughter will be making me brunch here shortly and then later the third child will be here for dinner. Guess I wasn't a completely evil step father :D

I didn't have any whiskey in the house when my pains first hit Cleo or I'd have done the same thing. I really hope that was it for your stone(s). It's been about a week since the last pains here and I'm starting to think it's possible mine broke up and passed without any big event. But if not, I still have something to look forward to. Hopefully your adventure is behind you.

Didn't do much today besides going to dinner at some friends of my gf's place.

Back home from spending time with my Dad last night and today. Took him to a nice place on the water in Newport beach. My lady leaves tomorrow so I'll have the place to myself for a week. Going to be just grinding away on projects around the clock at least for the first couple days.

Can you tell I've got other things on my mind this weekend?

Our poor dog Rufus might have a spine problem - he can barely balance himself due to his back legs giving out. Poor guy could barely walk before we took him into the vet on Friday. We checked him in to the vet hospital today & they are going to know more tomorrow after giving him steroids. He may need surgery. The Bitch is not taking it well at all :(

Today was, of course, spent at my Dads (but after trying to help him with some TV wiring, I find it hard to believe he's my Dad - lol)

I stayed up until midnight PDT because I was hoping for a permanent version of the mini-miracle that occurred at that time last week.

Time for bed I think.............
