I am getting all the things ready for our little 4 day holiday (which will start tomorrow).
I keeping my eyes on the kids luggage, they dont need big suitcases for this small holiday and if i lett them, they will take their whole closet with them.|crazy|

We finally got some rain and it came with some major winds. We lost some of the kids boats/rafts etc that were left up on the deck. I guess somebody woke up to some new pool toys!

At my husbands job today is dress like a celebrity day. He went as the Skipper from Gilligan’s Island. We found the hat and matched the clothes that Skipper wore. My daughter and I cracked up when he got dressed and said "hi little buddy" it was like the Skipper was back! He looks just like him! The old folks are going to love it |thumb

Still way too fucking hot!

Morning. About to wander down to the coffee shop and get a cup. Then it's back to work on projects. Gotta get another server migrated over today. Bah.

Went to the fair for a couple hours yesterday. Tried some new fair food I hadn't had before. First I tried chocolate covered bacon. It wasn't working for me. Then I had deep fried oreos. Those were just awesome! Drank a couple beers and looked at baby goats and baby pigs. Probs will be going back to do the rides tomorrow for a little bit and look at some of the photo exhibits.

Woke up to a dream that my youngest was leaking blood all over himself. Let's hope the day gets better from here.

Good Thursday Afternoon...
I have been running around since early AM today. Finally settled in and ready to do some work.

I am not having a good day. I went out to do some gardening with some crocks on, you know the ones with the holes in them? Well we have big ants, and when I picked some lettuce, I disturbed them, and they crawled in my shoes. One bit me on the end of my toe next to my big toe.

Like a fucking idiot, stamped my foot and walked to the garage, about 30 seconds later, realized it still felt like the shit was biting me. I pulled of my shoe, and had to literally pull the fucker off my toe.

Called up the local nursery, found out they are fire ants. When I looked at them online, found out they bit you with their little mouths, then repeately inject with venom over and over and are one of the most toxic insects.

I tell you, i've been bit by bees, wasps, and centipedes, they got nothing on fire ants. Fucking hurts like hell. My toe is all swelling up, its trying to crack my nail in half, I'm afraid I'm going to have to go to the dr and have them do something to it to relieve the pressure. Oh joy.

The best thing to do is pop the "zit" with tweezers or needle, and its deep in the skin so IT WILL HURT LIKE HELL and after that use hydrogen peroxide on it a few times a day, that will help clean it out and stop the burning, and it will look nasty for a week or so, but having survived 20 or so over a 3 year period I have found this is the only way to deal with it, letting it fester under the skin will only make it worse.
