The Hun and 404's
 

I Have A question. On my submits to the Hun. I am getting almost half the traffic on each submit going to my 404 page. My 404 page has links to my other sites which is OK. Yet I can not for the sake of me know why. I have no bad links on my TGP's that I am submitting to the Hun. I have checked and rechecked. I wonder why this is happening. It seems like a lot of lost traffic. Does anyone know why this is happening? |huh

Surfers trying to guess the urls of free stuff I would guess.

Also do you have a favicon.ico at the root of your domain?

Just as Cleo stated, many surfers try and 'backdoor' directories and try and find more free stuff. If your gallery is named ../tgp/july/1.html they may try to type in 2.html, 3.html etc or they may even type in .../tgp/june/ and try and see if you have other free galleries.

Not having it will cause some browsers, like Firefox, to give a 404 each time a page is loaded.

Go here and make one and place the favicon.ico in the root of your domain.

Like Cleo said it's most likely the favico check.
