"LOS ANGELES — Despite a recent site launch, open casting call and an upcoming announcement of a new contract star, Starlet Entertainment and its affiliate arm, StarletBucks, has gone out of business.

XBIZ has confirmed that Starlet Entertainment officially closes its doors Sept. 7, after its investors pulled all funding from the program with reportedly no explanation, and have terminated its staff's employment.

The company’s two sites, BrianaBanksReloaded.com and AlexisTexass.com — which only just launched Aug. 25 — have been shut down, and though they are still viewable, new members are unable to join. ..."

This is very surprising considering I just met Jessica and Kristin at InterNext Florida. In their press releases, SEG was touting the benefits of having mainstream investors backing the company. The way I see it, either these investors got cold feet with the porn business or the business was losing lots of money with no end in sight.

That was fast.

Yeah REAL fast. Idiotic that someone would pull the plug before they even get going especially after spending all that money at shows and start up.

The only explanation that makes any sense is legal issues some sort.

From what I understand the investors had some unrealistic ideas and expectations about the industry.

The investors probably just watched the show on cnbc and saw how bad the porn biz is fucked and cut thier losses. If they were mainstream investors they prob had better shit to do with the money and ran after learning a bit more about this biz now.

omg I just had a huge |lol| moment. cleaning the office before taking off for the day and I unwrap my latest xbiz mag to see starlet ent group on the cover. Ouch. How sad that they go all out with all this stuff to only go under that fast.
