The ICQ icon under our avatar?
 

Where does the message go if someone clicks on the ICQ icon under our avatar? I've sent myself test messages using it but never received anything.

No one???

Am I the only one that doesn't get ICQ messages sent through the board?

I've never tried messaging via the board and I can't be sure about not getting someone else's messages sent to me that way. But I'll try sending you an icq message from your profile on the board now.

it is supposed to send them through an web2icq gateway. it has worked in the past, but, I haven't tried it in quite a while. I believe both people have to have icq set in their profile and if it requires an authorization, you wouldn't see the message and the sender doesn't know that their message didn't get through.

I got the one from Stu. It comes in an alert window instead of a normal window so I probably didn't even realize that I was getting them since I usual just hit next since it they are just about always just notices that someone has added me or someone trying to sell me something in Russian.

to be honest i knew about the option but never use it because if i wanna send someone a message i will just pm them thru this board:D

Ive never really utilized the option either. Honestly, I thought it just meant their ICQ info was on their profile.

I removed it and put my ICQ in my sig since it seems unreliable at best.
