Is this a acceptable gallery

Hey guys,
Just made this gallery and I wanted to know if it was acceptable for tgp submission. It looks fine to me but I always could use a second opinion.

I find some faults in your gallery.

You need to create thumbnails instead of just compressing the picture and link to the original image!!

major48 2009-10-08 04:30 AM

Ok im missing what you are saying. Is it that my thumbs are too big? When I click on them they do go to the original image.

NY Jester 2009-10-08 09:40 AM

Whore Dollars, I dont see where the thumbs are compressed - properties shows the thumbs to be 216x143 - if they were compressed they'd be forced to be that size.

Major48 - it's a basic gallery but I dont reall see anything wrong with it other than you don't have much sales text at all to draw the surfer in. There are no call to action words to get them to click over to the sponsor. I would add some "fluff" to it - even a scene description would be better than just slapping two banners up and hoping you make a sale.
"This hot white babe loves black cock and she craves two big black studs at a time..."

"... Visit Interracial.com to see more white moms getting blacked" (where the visit Interracial.com is linked with your sponsor code)

What whoredollars means is that you're using a function, probably a php function, to show the image as a thumb. The funtion compresses the image in real time evey time the page is requested. There is actually no thumb file, this is very useful sometimes, but in this case I suggest that you crop the original image and save the thumb as a separate file.

The quality of the images is good, nothing to worry there.

wholedollars, kickass. I know it looks like I didnt actually make a thumbnail but I did. Dreamweaver just automatically put the photo dimensions in the code. I notice it does that if I do anything to the photo while building the site such as remove the border from thumbnails.

I would List it

blinki bill 2009-10-08 01:24 PM

I don't think that whoredollars meant that because of the dimensions in the code, the thumbs just look like a compressed full picture and not like thats the actual size
I think will be better if you change the way/soft that you are using to make the thumbs. Not because your gallery wont be accepted, of course loads of tgp sites will but you want to make some profit out of it, right?

exactly what i meant

the thumbnails just look like the compressed version of the original image.

flip.green 2009-10-09 12:40 AM

yea the thumbs could look better but i dont see anything that would really keep you from getting listed anywhere

gandalfuy 2009-10-28 09:03 PM

make some better looking thumbnails and its just right!

Ramster 2009-10-29 09:41 AM

Think of making a gallery as YOU giving a sales pitch.

Drop the banners
Add sales text (like NY Jester said) talking about the site and how good it is and what the surfer will find there.

major48 2009-10-30 03:45 PM

Yea I will try making a few with no banners and just text links. This has been very discouraging for me because I have made multiple galleries and free sites and I have only made like 1 sell in a whole damn month. I guess I am not that good with the text in my galleries. I don't think traffic is a problem because I use chameleon submitter and I very rarely get rejected. Ive even been listed on the Hun a couple times and they have sent me tons of traffic but I just cant seem to get many clicks on my sponsors or make sales. I guess im not the only one who has had this problem and I know it has to be that I just am not doing something right. Here are a couple of other galleries I made.

When I make my next gallery im gonna use text links only and see if that makes a difference. I also want to thank you guys for all of your advice because even though I'm not making money I am doing better than I was maybe a month or two ago. I had a hard time even getting listed anywhere but once you guys gave me some input on how to make a acceptable gallery I always get listed now. So once again thank you guys very much.

99% of the free submissions in Chameleon Submitter put together do not come close to just one partner account at any of the big TGPs (The exceptions I can think of are The Hun and Freeones). If you don't have those partner accounts (Worldsex,Pinkworld,Shemp,Al4a,etc) then yes traffic could be a problem. A TGP gallery typically needs 50k visitors or more for each sale.

They are passable but could use some tweaks. The banners/sales text as you said need some work. Also, I'm seeing blue links on red and gray backgrounds, yuck. They do not stand out at all. Make them pop. Also the thumbnails should fill up the table cells to reduce empty space.

major48 2009-10-31 06:02 PM

OK well you bring up a interesting point. So is it better just to drop the chameleon submitter stuff and just hand submit with a partner account to the big TGP's? Thing is though only thing I can afford is chameleon submitter right now. Working with a very low budget especially since im not making any sales.

HowlingWulf 2009-10-31 06:41 PM

With a very low budget you might be better off building free sites and/or blogs. I don't know anyone making good money with TGP galleries without having top partner accounts.

major48 2009-10-31 10:43 PM

Well I took you advice from the earlier post and I checked some of those big site and I just applied for a account at shemp
