How Can a Submitter Check to See if Site Was Added
Is there a quick and dirty way to check if your site has been added to a particular link list?
45 days ago I submitted my main blog (8 years running) to a number of link lists. I was very happy to see that the blog was accepted to some of my favorite places. However it was not accepted everywhere. Wherever it was not accepted I would like to remove the links from my main page. Going through the blog sections does not appear to be a guarantee because some link lists are adding their blog submits into the mix of their traditional free site listings. Any ideas would be helpful. |
no easy way. you pretty much gotta go there and look.
everybody should be looking more these days, because there are plenty of sites that were good last year that are effectively a liability to sub to this year. |
Check your spam folder, few acceptance/rejected emails may landed there if such LL send them in a first place. ( I never understood why LL should not send acceptance/rejected emails ). Then do what Bill said, go and check your listing. After 45 days if accepted most of the LL should listed your site anyway, but you may gone wrong if you remove your reciprocal link to soon.

Try going to the LL site and do a search on that site only (can be done with Google toolbar) for your keywords to narrow down the search.

I use Links Organizer to keep track of hard link trades. When I submit blogs I add these, and it tells me daily if the return link is missing. Gotta give them some time though, but after that, I know which ones haven't listed it.
