Something that makes a "blog" on fixed html pages - blogs organizer maybe?

I want to be able to build domains with a very simple blog look without having to update wordpress constantly, worry about security, and suchlike.

I want fixed html pages, not dynamic pages, ideally.

Is there anything that anyone knows about that will do that?

Blogs organizer? How does blogs organizer actually work?

Movable type is a CGI based blogging platform (similar to wordpress), but it publishes to static HTML files when you click "publish".

This may do the trick for you thingamablog.

I'm not sure how BO works.

Hi Bill |waves|
Sounds to me like BO would be perfect for what you want to do.
Take it for a test drive, if I remember right the free version has all features and allows you to setup 4 blogs.
Installing the script is as easy as installing wordpress

Hey Bill,
my Blogs Organizer is using both static and dynamic pages. All is done pretty wisely so you still have big flexibility, but and lowest possible server load.

As you probably know with one script install you can create and operate as many blogs as you wish. A new blog is done in mere minutes. It has and lots of automation and scheduling functions.

I think it could perfectly fit to your needs, to easily create new blogs, throw up some posts and not worry about installing a script for each blog, keeping it up to date and etc..

let me know if you have any more questions

No free version of blogsorganizer anymore, it looks like.

I bought a copy of blogs automator a few years back - never used it that much.

I'll test that thingamabob - the concept at least sounds right, maybe the execution will be good enough.
