Free Sites vs Galleries

Hi everyone. Not sure how everyone will response on this. I was wondering what everyone's opinion was on free site submission vs galleries submission. Which do you feel are more sales productive? I do both and have not seen much from either for sales. I know what Useless Warrior would say " you right nothing works get out as soon as you can"|lol|

galleries I feel I slam a TON more traffic at in an immediate fashion to get a sale. The click thru ratio is also a ton lower in galleries.

ratios also aren't as good either. Still though it's worth it. Once your templates are dialed then it's just a couple minutes a day of filling in new content.

I haven't done as many galleries as FS, but I get occastional sales from old freesites while I haven't seen that kind of longevity with galleries.

I've been considering doing more galleries...with the Hun I'll usually get 2 or 3 signups with 60K-100K hits. Bad ratio, but it's real money and well worth it.

It's all going to depend on your partner accounts and number of submits per day. My comparisons over a month's time with 5 TGP galleries and 2 freesites per day:

TGP traffic 4,581,014 hits around 4% CTR.
LL traffic 210,437 hits around 20% CTR.

I am thinking keeping my tgp just for the hun. I do not see much from other tgp's.

Making a buck on TGP submits is a high volume enterprise these days, multiple paid accounts, auto-submitters, etc.

The exception to that would be if you target specfic niches and submit to niche specific TGPs. However, many of those niche specific TGPs no longer take submits (or never have) so it's tough to make a buck there unless you also have your own TGPs where you can list those galleries.

Also, the comment above by bDok should not be overlooked. Getting your galleries fine tuned to maximize click-thru and conversions is a critical step in the process that very often gets left out.

There are two ways to double your sales without increasing traffic.
1) double your click-thru rate
2) cut your conversion ratio in half

To be honest TGP and LL traffic are two different animals. I think in order to maximize the traffic sources out there you have to prepare yourself for both of those along with several other outlets.

I am actually running a test like this at the moment, not using any partner accounts (99% of PA's are a waste of money especially with tgps).

Traffic is quite similar with tgp vs LL, more of a rush early on with the tgps but the ll's tend to have longer term traffic. After 10 or so submits to ll's and up to 20 to tgps haven't made a single sale from LL's but have from the tgps. Will be interesting to see how it is in 2 months time.

That would be a true test over 2 months. I would be interested to see the results on the ctr.

Can post results here if you want :)

Was part of a 2 month submit and build tutorial i am running elsewhere, but i could mirror post it here too. Figures are already looking quite interesting..

I'm testing LL atm too, hope to see results soon...
