I see "no cj sites" rule on a lot of sites I submit too. I did a google and I still have no idea what it means.

Can someone tell me what a cj site is?

CJ = Circle Jerk

The premise is that you take a lot of traffic, and you send most of them to other trade sites and send a small portion to the actual content. Since the surfer rarely sees the content they are trying to see and are constantly being handed off to a trade site, eventually the surfer gets tired of being jerked around and clicks a sponsor ad.

I think I understand. It's like one of those sites that have all those clickable thumbs that just go to other sites and not the gallery.

Actually, the rule is that the site(s) run by someone who knows what he's (she's) doing is the one that will make more sales. There are some people who use the CJ methods very well, and many others who just jerk surfers around and lose sales. But there are also many non-CJ TGP sites that are poorly-run and will rarely make a sale either.

Believe it or not, there is a group of surfers who actually like being bounced from page to page, seeing a whole new group of thumbs each time. Done right it can heighten their desire and make them more likely to make an impulsive decision. Done wrong it's just something to point at and laugh.

It's like my jenna-teens site. I don't bounce people around. Because it pisses me off when I see that from others. Yet I don't get the sales either. Glad I wasn't one of the first to offer free TGP content and overload the internet with saturated freebies.

As I understand it TGP != CJ. That is a TGP or MGP does not equal a circle jerk. A lot of TGP sites trade traffic to get more folks to see the offerings on their sites. Those webmasters that circle jerk surfers around may be sending excess traffic to traffic resellers or they could be feeding some of their own sites with the extra traffic.
