Does anyone know who this company is?

Nur zur Verrechung

or

VB Ahlen-Sassenberg-Warendorf eG

or

Sage KHK Software. (Written really small on the side of the check.)

I keep gettting checks from them. The checks are small. ($40 US.) But my bank charges $35 to cash each one. So I want to stop sending traffic to them. It's obviously not worth it.

The checks are all written in another language (German?) and I don't see an account # or anything on them.

Anyone have a clue?

I don't recognize the name. If you do find out who they are perhaps you can go to their site and set up an epassport or paypal account so you don't lose so much money and can avoid canceling and removing links.

I don't know, but I'd change banks

Send them a letter and ask who they are!

Hi,

"Nur zur Verrechung" - That just says how the check is allowed to be handled.

"VB Ahlen-Sassenberg-Warendorf eG" - That is the name of the bank.

"Sage KHK Software" - From what I just found on google, this is the software which was used to print the check - it's some kind of business solution software. But i'm not sure on this one.

And btw - hi i'm new here :)

have a great day

That's funny stuff.

So I know the name of the bank it came from and the company who prints the checks.

I found the check stub and it also says:

Sie erhalten obigen Scheck zum Ausgleich nachstehender Forderungen (EUR)

Verwendungszweck

Does that give any clues?
Welcome to the board by the way...

Never mind, I just translated it and it's more banking mumbojumbo.

Damn...

physio 2004-03-07 12:34 PM

thanks for the welcome guys :)

DrBizarro, you are right no lead to the origin in there...

Cleo 2004-03-07 12:35 PM

Contact the bank and ask them the name that is associated with the account.

surely that check comes in an envelople, doesn't that say who sent it?

looks to me like you are promoting some german sponsor and have a member there that didn't cancel their membership so far.

also we have the same prob with checks from the US, the charges are ridiculous, but the bank accepts if we hand in several cheks at once, the charges for the single check are lower then. maybe your bank offers that too?

Damn it $35 for a check is a lot of money !

Question for all: how much do you pay for cashing each check ?

I pay zero, unless it's from over seas.

Hi - this check has been issued by the German, Raiffeisen Bank.
This is the location of the particular branch that issued the check: VB Ahlen-Sassenberg-Warendorf eG.

I have an account with a Swiss branch here - let me know if I can help you out.

:-)

I pay $15 for each check that comes from overseas (all of them :) ) if the amount is above $50

Mental Ernie AKA Hotlinker 2004-03-08 08:09 AM

ditto. well €15, not $15. It's a big difference nowaydays, goddammit.

doublep 2004-03-08 08:40 AM

If you guys are putting a lot of checks through your accounts - it may be possible to negotiate with the bank manager regarding the fees they are charging per check.

Cheers,

Paul

finnbear 2004-03-08 10:19 AM

11 € per check - and no, finnish banks don't negotiate with that.

doublep 2004-03-08 10:45 AM

I guess some will, some won't - maybe find a non Finnish bank - at 11 Euro a check I would be looking :)

My banks here charge 10 CHF (8 $U.S) per check, the German bank 7 CHF, and the manager told me only 2 weeks ago he would be willing to negotiate on the 7.

Cheers

Paul.

Forgive me for interruption, but Germany doesn't issue bank checks. I don' think there are countries besides USA that do checks at all.. |peace|
