Submitting question
Ok this is a stupid newbie question but here goes. When submitting our sites to LL's, the form, of course asks for your name, We have been using Lliandrin's real name for this. Can we use her Nick? One of the smaller LL we submitted to put her real name after the description as who it was submitted by. We would like to avoid this. Thanks,
Ghost and Lliandrin |
You can use any name you like but always use the same name.

Hi Ghost,
I always add the webmaster nickname to my descriptions and I listed a story site for Lliandrin recently... so i'm guessing you may be referring to my LL... If so - you might have read the note just above the submissions box which says: "Please use your real name or nickname in the 'contact name' field, I like to add them to the description and 'webmaster' sounds silly!" I changed the listed name to Lliandrin for you :) Rule #1 for Submissions: Always read the rules before you post :) Rule #2: Most LL owners are human (You could've emailed me and asked me to change it) ;) |
ChristyB,
Thanks for changing it. It wasn't a big deal and we realized it was probably our fault, that we had overlooked something. She wasn't upset or anything, we just realized that we should probably check if it was ok to use her nick when submitting. Thanks a lot for listing us and for changing it to Lliandrin. We didn't want to email you since it wasn't a big deal and our mistake. Thanks though have a good nite, Ghost and Lliandrin |
Hi Ghost & Lliandrin,
My Pleasure and good luck with the site :) |
Interesting question and even more interesting answer from Cleo and MrMaryLou.
Why always the same name? In order to keep track of my submissions and see the stats for each site in a, ie, a top list, I use a simple method I think is not harm to anyone. If I submitted 2 sites to a list, I would use 1st site - bert1 2nd site - bert2 and use the same password. Is this wrong? Will you LLs owners ban me for this? Would like some input on this. Thanks in advance Bert |
