Link list recips
 

Well tonight i was looking at some free sites on a link list trying to get some ideas on what i need to do to make my free sites better and I noticed that hardly anyone uses the recips that the link list owner provides. I am seeing most sites just use a simple text link which makes it easier for them to submit their site to more link lists without making the warning page look to bad. So is it ok to just use a text link instead of a recip table thats provided by the link list? Also is it ok to have over 30 recips? That was another thing that I saw.

30+ text links would be ok as long as they are fit to FS template. Check out greenguy's LinkList ;)

I actually prefer the one line text links.

Text reciprocal links are so much nicer than the regular ugly recip tables and it's easier to blend them into page design just because they take much less space, this way you can merge two mirrors into one, also make sure that all linklists accepts that but I'm sure all the major ones are OK.

I've always said those home grown required recips were getting absurd....made the sites look like jokes....or xmas trees lol

You can keep the design flow on the pages so much better with text links (make sure if you submit to Greenies and a few others link lists, if you do use the title attribute to put the link list name in the title...check their rules)

I've always accepted (and prefer) Text links

One of the things I do is all my recips are coded

And in my style sheet, I set that. That way, I can change the look of all the recips in one place.

One line recips are fine. 30+ is fine. I'd rather be in a page with 30+ links then one no one visits because you didn't put me with other big link lists.
