Uncle Phil Maloof's House and Cars Pics

Just got these up on my brother's site, if anyone is interested to see a lot of cars, two organs, and a whole bunch of statues. :)

You should send America's Pickers over there.

He seems like he is doing very well financially. What does he do or what did he do?

RedCherry 2010-12-09 11:34 AM

I don't know, I know the family owns hotels, including The Palms Casino, and the Sacramento Kings team.

We got a DVD when we left called Chasing Beauty, which is a mocumentary of his life, so I'll let you know. I have a feeling he helped with the family business, and is retired now.

I wish we could have met him, because he is a really nice guy and just a big kid at heart. Maybe next year.

This is him and my brother last year, he takes care of all his cars, washing them and driving them. http://thomasfortier.com/organ-conso...s/P1010047.JPG We were not able to get in for that trip.

Your brother isn't big on smiling it seems.

That organ is massive.

Great pics!

That's a big house and lots of ugly statues :D
I was impressed by the number of keys on the organ...

ArtWilliams 2010-12-09 04:18 PM

He's got lots of stuff! Nice pics. Thanks.

The lady that used to play that big organ was short like I was. She used to use rolled up newspaper to hit the stops on the upper rows, no way you can reach them, or see them for that matter.

And yea, I agree about most of those statues. 1 or 2 would be great, 500 of them is just overkill.

Damn, that sure is some collection.
Had to resist looking through all the photos until I was done with work.

I wonder if he'd get along with the Opulence guy

Oh yea, I think he would.

Talked to my brother today, the Kimble Organ (smaller one in first room) is one of the finest ever made and he has a friend that created the digital software that records organ notes, then makes it so with a keyboard and his software, you could literally "play" that organ. Tom and Dave are going to try and propose to Uncle Phil that they record his organ and then everyone could purchase this set of recordings and know they are playing "His" organ. It would take a few weeks as they have to record each separate note/pipe/stop from 3 locations. Can't remember how many registers that one had, but would still be in the 10's of 1,000's of pipes.

I can't even remember the amount of ladies that have told me the same thing!
