AdamEveCash, WTF

I've never made any real money with them so I guess I'll be doing a search and delete of their stuff.

I have tons of domains and they banners are being served through OpenX to many of them so gathering a list of domains that may be showing one of their banners is asking more than I'm willing to do. Not to mention all the parked domains that I have that are forwarded to other domains of mine.

Please note that we will be starting a process of updates to our affiliate system…. During this update, it is crucial to get any and all domains you are using to ensure you receive all commissions you generate off of your affiliate links you have listed. Many of you will have only the one domain which is already listed on your affiliate account profile. IF THERE ARE ADDITIONAL DOMAINS YOU ARE USING to send traffic to Adam&Eve with your affiliate ID attached, YOU MUST submit your list of other addresses you are using BEFORE SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 20th. These domains will have to be reviewed and APPROVED. Failure in submitting additional domains will result in our system not recognizing the domains and SALES CREDITS WILL BE LOST. Please send your list to my email at jnoble@pheinc.com.

As of February 22nd, if incoming traffic is coming from a website that is NOT approved as your affiliate site, it will NOT award commissions to your affiliate account. To ensure sales credit, it is crucial to have all domains accounted for that you are utilizing.

I got that email today and thought, "They gotta be fucking kidding!" That's absolutely ridiculous.

Good thing you're using OpenX. It should be pretty easy to remove all their ads and replace them with another sponsor.

I got the same message and figured I'd log into their affiliate area to see if I could use their system to find out from where they were receiving my traffic. But unless I'm missing something, the stats there are no help at all. Really bare bones reporting.

Then, since I was there, I wanted to see if my account details were up-to-date. Make sure I didn't have ePassporte listed as my payment method, etc. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to even see my account information, let alone any way to edit it. Unless I'm missing something of course.

I'm on the fence about contacting them regarding these things. But it feels strange to have to ask for my own account details and to see a referring URLs report, when every other sponsor I promote has that information a few clicks away at most.

Is the AdamEveCash program owner or a rep on this board? I'm guessing we're not the only people thinking of dropping links after getting that email.

P.S. When I first got the email I read it as telling me that they intended to shave my income beginning on February 22nd unless I agree to do something which no one else asks me to do.

Conundrum solved. Poof... all gone.

Ramster 2011-02-15 08:10 AM

2 words................ fuck them

HowlingWulf 2011-02-15 08:18 AM

I don't know how an affiliate can really compete now that they're advertising on mainstream TV.

RaunchyRepublic 2011-02-15 11:57 PM

This is probably something they should have implemented from the start to avoid the confusion and annoyance. Sounds like they are about to lose a lot of their affiliates.

bDok 2011-02-16 12:10 AM

I'd just do like cleo did if I was promoting them.

terry 2011-02-19 08:11 AM

Yup, Im removing them as well.

Ms Naughty 2011-02-19 09:30 PM

This isn't the first time they've screwed affiliates around. I've already taken down a lot of links due to something similar in the past. They like to make you change link codes too often. I may have links still out there... yet another sponsor to add to my growing blacklist.

Phad 2011-02-25 12:44 AM

Wow, that's ballsy. Even huge, strict, mainstream affiliate programs like Amazon and Ebay don't shave like that.

I don't see anything wrong in that they want to do a list of websites/affiliates allowed to promote them. But giving so little time for the update with payment cancellation involved is just unfair.

When I buy traffic, I don't always have total control over where the traffic comes from! |huh
