Silver Cash Affiliate Area

I cannot get into the affiliate area of Silver Cash. Anyone else having a problem?

Greenguy 2004-03-25 06:10 PM

I just logged in without any problems.

dionysos 2004-03-25 07:38 PM

No problem here!

It likes to tell me I dont have explorer 6.0, when in reality I do then I either log into SMC Lite to check stats or hit the other link at the bottom there and it lets me in anyway.

How are you doing with Silvercash at the moment?

I really like the new console and webmaster area but haven't tried promoting them for a while.

Cleo 2004-03-29 03:06 PM

SilverCash has blocked access to their admin area for non Windows uses since it requires IE6 which is only made for Windows so no Mac or Linux users.

I found this out as I went to to grab a bunch of their banners for the new categories. Since I was redirected to an area that does not have banners and a message that I need to log into the regular IE6 required area.

Finding this really annoying and IMO moronic it looks like I will be removing all of SilverCash's stuff, especially since I would need to login using a Windows machine running IE6.

Ironic that I went to their admin deciding it was time to start promoting them again and now it looks like I will have to remove all of their stuff.

Maybe they should also require the surfer to be using a Microsoft mouse in order to click.

latinafind, you sig is too big. They need to be 120x60 or smaller, please change it.

I like silvercash- but I do not like the new console. Even with my broadband connection it takes forever even if I just need to get in and grab a link-code. A little to fance-smancy for my taste. Then again perfect webmaster area for me would be pure html code- no graphic or anything.

i love the new webmaster area.

It's been like this a few weeks at least. It looks really nice at the expense of speed.

It would be good to have a 'low bandwidth' option.

I agree it's never smart to require a specific browser no matter how popular. :(

romeoboi 2004-03-30 05:21 PM

I had the same problem as cleo!

too bad, because I was interested in promoting them again. Its hard to find quality gay niche sites outside of twink and general/hardcore. I was interested in promoting their gay big cock and hitchiker site. And apparently they will be adding new gay sites sometime soon..

oh well :(

Be sure to let them know. They seem to think that the whole world uses Windows and IE6.

Alphawolf 2004-03-30 08:12 PM

I just posted a message on the forum after you, Cleo.

Looks like they are working on a 'lite' version.

Cleo 2004-03-30 08:26 PM

They have a Lite version already.

It is missing little things… like banners or anything that a person would need to promote them.

The best part is the way it puts everything in little tiny non resizable frames. I have to right mouse click in the frame then to open it in a new tab.

The big red text telling me to login the non lite version that is at the bottom of the pages is a nice reminder of what they think of the lite version.

I really loved the way they told me on their board that I really need to "upgrade" to the latest version of Windows IE6.

I'm going to go throw my 17" Powerbook in the trash now and buy a PC laptop so that I can promote Silvercash.

I guess this also means no Linux users.

stuveltje 2004-04-01 06:31 AM

I like silvercash but me afraid to log in there, because if i wanna log out my puter freeze and i need to reboot, know more people with the same problem|sad|

mikeyddddd 2004-04-04 08:08 PM

i was quite happy with IE5 - but installed 6 just so i could get to the promotional material at silver cash.

since installing 6 my browser stalls on other sites also - which had never been a problem before. i was told that IE no longer includes Java with the browser and it had to be installed separately. so i went to sun and reinstalled java, too.

that seemed to help - but it still stalls occasionally so, obviously, there is still something missing.

Bill 2004-04-04 09:27 PM

It messes with my browser too Stu.

I log in once a week to check stats. It's a shame, but I have to distrust any sponsor that treats it's affiliates this way.

All I want is stats and promo and links, don't force me to take all the other useless bells and whistles.
