LinkAdmin script question - Server move
 

I am running 2 copies of the LinkAdmin scripts at fetishcrawler.com and freefetish.com , and I am in the process of moving to a new server. As a matter of fact, the my new hosting company has already transferred all my files (conserving all the permissions), and I am just waiting for the DNS changes to come thru.

I believe MrMaryLou takes care of the LinkAdmin installations at present, so I would like to ask him (or anyone else able to help me out) the following:

Will the scripts still work on the new server, or will they have to be re-installed?

And if things will still work, what are the data files I need to transfer from the old to the new server once the dns changes have come thru? I ask this because as long as the domains have the old dns, new submissions will be recorded on my old server.

I would really appreciate any help on this.

Chances are all that needs to be fixed is the server paths :) PM me when its done :)

I don't know about Link Admin but I do know that whenever I've changed servers my server paths always got changed so I would have to edit each one of my scripts. |banghead|

Wow, that was really quick :)

As to the path, I specifically asked my new hosting company to set the server up with the same server path as the old one.
Just because I wanted to avoid trouble with scripts not working properly anymore after the server move.

Also the O/S is the same.

So, it seems chances are that things might function on the new server... Anyway, I will PM you if there is any trouble after all.
