Hey Bell I will make sure to tell him you said hello, and yes he's been going nuts over at the salon, which is coming along great, coolest tanning salon I have ever seen.

Pitty it's only like 5000 miles away from here.. would love to go take a look there :)

But a tanning salon in FL??

yep...

for those workaholics that aren't out IN the sun during the day...
or find direct sun rays harmful...

plus with it having the smoothie bar - it'd be a great date
place for two people to go to tan and relax...


plus they are gouing to have sidelines (body jewelry, lotions etc...)

maybe even bathing suits...

the business is for his wife and her mom and sister-in-law (if I'm not mistaken)...

but I still miss seeing him on the boards...

You have to understand us Northerners...(well some of us anyway)
50F is shorts weather.
Ice out (no ice on the lake)- Go Fishing
60F - You should have seen the one I caught!!!
70F you're already late for fishing.
80F you better be in the lake or fishing.
90F the lawn dies, go fishing.

We have either been snowmobiling or in the house for 6 months. Tanning salons do very well around here. Though it's pretty obvious if you have a tan in the middle of winter.
Did I mention I moved 200 miles to go fishing??? lol

I just went to the salon today - stand-up hex for 12 minutes.

I'm german/english and always burned during the summer...could never tan.

A controlled amount of UV really does the trick.

One thing for use skinheads- if the booth bulbs don't go up high enough (and I'm just 5'10") ya need to bow your head a minute or two each session to make sure you don't get a white circle up on top of 'yer head. :D

You'd be amazed at the number of "older" people that are using them now that they've figured out the government has been telling us all along how bad the sun is forgot to tell us that thats where you get Vit D for the bones - to bad the science that all of the "you better use SPF lotion to protect yourself from skin cancer" is based on the old sun lamps of the early 1960s when teens used to fry themselves on purpose - and the regulators aren't interested in going back and revising the science basis as usual

There's so many health benefits that we as tanning salon owners aren't allowed to talk about by fed. govt law it's a real shame.

AlphaWolf - might just try some of the lay-down super beds that have the shoulder/head bulbs - it's a good way to get in a nap for that 12 minutes :)

Yeah- I saw another so-called doctor on the boob tube saying that in moderation tanning was fine...and I was watching it with my Mom who has been brainwashed it is evil and will cancer me all up.

That's OK though- I still have an Uncle who will not eat anything that has come from a microwave. My Aunt just usually doesn't tell him where the food came from. LOL.

I don't like the beds...that's when a serial killer will come along and lock me in there! :D

Hey everyone!

I heard a little rumor about a post on the "World Famous" Greenguy and Jim Board, so I figured I better check it out. |waves|

Hope everyone is doing well and yes, the truth is I have been crazy busy with the finishing touches of the Salon, it was suppose to grand open this Saturday, but thats not looking likely, so it looks like it will now be the 10th (and as I type this I think to myself the 17th).

Ive been at the salon around 12-15hrs a day, and Chris Extreme is also here helping out from NY, so when we get back from the Salon at night the last thing I feel like doing is jumping on the boards. I had a few minutes this morning before I headed in to get aggrivated by the Electicians so I figured I would jump in and say hello.

The Electricians should be done today, if they are I will take some new photos and post them here for everyone to see :)
