Removing Dead Linklists From Recip Tables
 

I plan on removing dead link lists and pseudo linklists from my recip tables - does anyone know of an automated way to do this.

Lots of web-page editing programs will find/replace text in all files in a directory.

The two I use the most are: Dreamweaver, and Programmers Notepad.

Programmer's Notepad is free, and works on windows. There's also Notepad++.

If you're working on a Mac, I think Macpad++ is the same as Notepad++, but I've never used it.

The only problem after that is re-uploading all the pages :(

I use TexRep 2.0 for Find/Replace stuff. It's freeware and pretty simple to use.

Can I replace the dead linklists with links to sites in my network or should I just delete

I think some of the other linklists would frown one more outbound links to non-linklists after the fact. Might even get you banned. I would remove or add still active lists and resubmit there. But don't add any links to anything non-linklist.

Yes - I thought that might be the case , just wonder , if there are enough active LL to fill the gaps - might be better just to delete and leave blank

Personally, I think you should move forward and built more new sites instead wastetime removing dead links on pages you submitted in the past...
