Still the "money bar / exit" links issue

Hi everybody

Had some very good help on my last question, so am now placing a link to a FPA to sponsor before my hub.
This FPA, being in the site structure, means it's not a real exit link.

So I had this idea:

Why not link the text in the money bar also to sponsors FPAs, each one integrated in the site structure?
This way they won't be real "exit" links.

Have one doubt though.
If a surfer clicks on the text and has to go through the FPA to get to the site he chose, won't he be upset? Isn't this another barrier for him to cross?

Would love to read your comments.

Bert

I'd have to see an example, but I think that'd still count toward the 3 banners/ads that most of us allow.

The idea of taking to your hub thru a FPA is a very good idea - and once he's there, any link for a niche he clicks on should take him thru at least one fpa (if not more) before he gets to any free stuff
As far as the money bar - it's not an option anymore on free sites - very few LLs will accept them - just put a link to your hub with "more free porn" text - takes the place of the money bar and allows you to filter the surfer by niche a lot better

added - I know most sponsors tell you to use a money bar to filter traffic - it's a holdover from a few years back - most of them don't submit to LLs anymore :)

yeah, in addition to what linkster and greenguy said, using fpas before your sponsor is not a bad idea at all imho (some say other wise but im a firm beleaver) by linking your ads to fpas instead of directly to the sponsor tour you gain the ability to control the popup rotation, filter the surfer a bit more, and build a little more urgancy than you could otherwise do. But make no mistake, even if it is part of the sites structure, it counts against your three per page. basically any ad counts as well as any exit link that might not be an ad... ie an ad that points to an fpa is counted as one of the three even though its in the same folder and a link to your linklist/hub is counted even though its not an ad per se.

Thanks friends, very useful information, as usual.

Have some re-designing to do, now.
