It's no sharks Monday. Time to get back to work. 080811

Having a hard time getting back into work mode after taking most of the weekend off and spending it in the ocean snorkeling.

Lots of critters and lots of fish including a really large Bonefish but the real treat was the really big and scarey shark that we encountered.

We were out on the reef when this huge Caribbean reef shark swam right up to me and made eye contact with me before swimming away. Christy and I freaked out pretty badly but after swimming halfway back to shore turned around and went back out to the reef.

I'm so disappointed that I still don't have my replacement underwater camera back yet. Hopefully the replacement will arrive by the end of this week

Fuck I don't feel like working today...

I'm a little jealous of you. I'd love to see a shark.

Morning |waves|

I did nothing but work yesterday, yet I feel like I got run over by a truck - almost like a hangover. I don't miss days like this |lol|

More of the same today, but I do see a nap in my future...

Good morning world |waves|

I know what you mean about not feeling like working, Cleo. Actually I'm starting to wonder if I wouldn't do at least as well as I'm doing now by cutting back on all the site updating and mailings. I mean, doing more isn't really helping, so maybe doing less wouldn't really hurt either. Or maybe I just don't feel like working today.

That might be partly due to the mention of bonefish. I'd really rather be out in a skiff* casting a fly to the last bonefish in a school moving onto the flats. Those little gray ghosts are unbelievably fast, and will sometimes strip almost all the line of your fly reel before you can get them to turn.

I'll pass on the shark encounters though. My closest encounter with one was actually out of the water. I'd caught a lemon shark (on fly gear) and my guide pulled it into the boat and turned around to show it to me. Unfortunately I was standing closer than he thought, and when he turned the nose of the shark brushed right across my crotch as the shark opened his mouth wide. That day I found out I could move backwards much faster than I thought I could. No physical damage was done, just the psychological kind.

Oh well, no fishing today so just working away while laughing my ass off at Jim Jeffries new "Alcoholocaust" stand-up special on Showtime that I recorded last night.

Wishing everyone a good week ... with no sharks near your genitals.

:)

Morning. Big day of work ahead. That is all. I really would really just like to sit around and watch season 3 of Breaking Bad with the lady. That isn't going to happen though.

Last night before watching some Breaking Bad episodes I watched American Ninja warrior. It was filmed in Venice beach. I saw the set the day after they finished and they were taking it down. Still was cool to see it in person.

Time to go for a little walk and get coffee. Then the day can start. Have a good one everyone.

Morning all |waves|
Submitting my first free site with my cat on my chest.

I free dove 10 years in Hawaii and never saw a shark when I was in the water. Saw them from shore though, watched one chase a diver to shore at sunset beach who was dragging a catch bag, he got out of the water, and the shark swam the length of the beach in water that only came about 1/2 way up his body, with people jumping out of the way. Wish I'd of had a video camera for that.

Yesterday I submitted TGPs then worked in Cararra, creating 3D content, listening to about 8 episodes of Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. Today its free sites and tgp submits, no Ramsey for me. Watched this episode, bring on the real gravy.

Have a good one all! |waves|

I remember the Fenwick Arms one. Kitchen Nightmares is awesome, but sometimes it annoys me when they get on there and cry about nothing going right with their restaurant, but end up getting pissed when Gordon calls them idiots.

Just got home from the day job time to get work done after a weekend of boozing.

Good evening,

Just a normal monday for me. Offline work, dinner at my gf's parents and now I'm doing some online "work". Oh yeah, I also got a haircut. No sharks crossed my path.

Have a good day all!

Greenguy 2011-08-08 03:45 PM

I'm due for a haircut - it's been 2+ years. I'm waiting for it to grow out a little more so I can donate it to Locks Of Love.
