What % Of Your Income Comes From Slinging Porn (read thread before you vote)

This thought crossed my minds the other day when The Bitch & I were looking over our finances. For those that don't already know, The Bitch got a real job about 3 months ago. It's only part time, but she loves it & it helps out the house finances.

The reason I wanted everyone to read this thread 1st is this: Business Write Offs
You know, those things that are "legit" - like cell phones, computers, ISP bill, insurance, entertainment, dining, travel - anything that technically fits into each category.

Why? I was thinking that, even if I have a really shitty month & do not reach my payroll goals, the business is still paying for a lot of things - almost as if you did get that money via payroll & it just went right back out.

I'm very interested to see replies with this thread too |shake|

I voted 100%. I did so because the job I have at Twistys is still in porn. If I take out what Twistys pays me my "other" slinging porn business income/revenue would make up about 67% of my total income.

And you are right, the beauty of owning/running a company is regardless of revenue you still pay the monthly business expenses. When you eat out you write it off. You write off gas and such as well. As you said the difference is payroll is lower so you have less money to spend personally. (and less to use to pay mortgage and other personal bills). Yet, if through the company, the car payments get paid, the gas cards get paid and so on.

And right now everything I make goes right back out. :D

I voted 10% for all my write-offs are trading related

Great post Ramster |thumb

And the car/gas is one that I forgot about - a BIG one :)

Just make sure you can convince the IRS that write-offs are business related if they happen to question you.

100% of my income is from slingin pr0n. I'm not sure I could handle a real job at this point, so I consider myself very fortunate that my pr0n income has remained steady the past two years and is on a nice increase for this year.

I used to think that I'd been in this biz so long that I was unemployable, but it seems I am. I'm getting a few mainstream jobs for small businesses and I'm a bit of a middle man in the janitorial biz and Cuban cigars.
All small time stuff compared to the good ole days, but it's fun to sell face to face again.

100% of my online income comes from mainstream non-adult these days. 2 years ago I cashed out, sold off my traffic sites, paysites, etc and timed it pretty good by fluke heh.

I've also got offline businesses which keep me busy (consulting and running an expat food cafe in china).

I don't know about usa, but back when I was living in Australia if you turned a bedroom into an office, you could also claim as a business expense the power/gas to that room on a % base. Which was a nice extra thing to lower your tax liability. :)

What are you selling? How are you selling it? How are you generating traffic?

What are you selling?
CPA offers, mostly on PPS payouts. Bizop, finance, debt relief, etc.

How are you selling it?
Warming up my opt-in lists with relevant information to the subscribers needs. Once a relationship is built up, try to sell a cpa offer to them.

How are you generating traffic?
Using second tier traffic networks and media buys to drive traffic to my landing pages, with the goal of getting a consumer to opt-in and subscribe to my list/s.
