Changing freesites
 

I've been under the impression that if I change a free site that's already been listed, I'll get blacklisted and rolled up in a carpet and thrown off a cliff but now on a few major link lists they say if you don't update your site after say 6 months, it gets removed. so this is good because I have some shit I want to make better, fix some sites, is it all good as long as the site stays generally the same? what is the deal here?

I've wondered the same thing myself. I'd like to remove old sponsors, update banners/links, etc. but fear the dreaded blacklist so I've played it safe and not touched my free sites after they've been listed.

I don't think changing link codes or text links, banners, etc. will get you in trouble/blacklisted. Changing the number of links upward will.

As to updating; the color or layout can be changed a bit as long as the entire site is the same. Here again don't break the rules by reducing the number of pics below min or changing them to something other than what the site was listed for, i.e. changing a teen site with 20 pics to a mature site with 15 pics would most likely result in something you wouldn't like.
