Been up since a bit before sunrise for some odd reason. Probably has something to do with going to bed at 10:30 last night.

I had what I thought would be a quick little computer consulting job yesterday. Seemed easy enough. Upgrade a Mac to Lion, upgrade a iPhone and iPad to iOS 5 and install the iCloud control panel on a brand new Windows 7 laptop.

The client's internet connection only did around 3 megs so downloading everything took fucking forever. The two iOS devices were synced to an all but dead Windows XP laptop that was unusable so had to use 3rd party software to get everything off them before syncing them to a new device in case they got erased before updating them.

But the real time vampire was the Windows laptop (no big surprise) which should have been the easiest since it just needed a control panel or at least that is what I thought.

Turns out that Windows no longer comes with Outlook and iCloud only syncs with iCloud in Windows. After finally figuring out that Outlook could be bought from Microsoft for $140 dollars and downloading it and installing it I kept on getting some obscure error when trying to sync it. After spending hours trying to figure out hat the solution was decided to try uninstalling the iCloud control panel and then reinstalling it thinking that the problem was that Outlook needed to be installed first which turned out to be correct.

Client is happy as all he cared about was having his bookmarks, contacts and calenders syncing between all of his devices and I'm happy after billing him for 9 hours of work.

Just planning on spending the day working on my own stuff and trying to get somewhat caught up in work.

No offline work for me so I did a bunch of paperwork, which is partial offline too I know...
Sinterklaas is coming at my mother's place today so it will be my son's first encounter with this fictional character. Should be fun.

Morning. Oh it's Friday!!! Yah! So happy it's the weekend. I'll be working a lot this weekend. However, tonight going to visit friends in Huntington Beach and will be going out boating tonight in the harbor there.

Slept horrible last night as the dog was throwing up. So woke up a couple times having to deal with that. Then for awhile just keeping an eye on him to make sure it wasn't really bad. He seems fine now. I'm thinking it had to do with some different food we feed him last night. Oh well. To the trash with that food. The ones that we haven't opened will go back for some money back.

Alright time to drink this coffee and work. Enjoy your day everyone.

Well, my doc is sending me for another MRI since the leg spasms continue even with the new meds. My hands also go cold & numb if I'm in a sitting position, so typing is a chore to say the least.

Other than that, I've got nothing |thumb
