Hi People

An Email from this board asked me to say hi, so;
Hi!

I've been here reading posts now and then, but I just joined the other day.
Webmastering, not very succesful yet, but I'm stubborn as hell.
I never thought this was easy, I like a good challenge. I've learned a lot since I started a little while ago, and since I got sick for a period towards the end of last year, I've kinda decided that this is
"The new, proper start"

So I'm doing blogs in niches I like and trying to figure out this google-thing which I've understood is really important. How I understood that? Well, the sales I've made are from searches.
For instance, I had 25k hits from The Hun "over two days" and the two sales I made was from .... not Hun :)

Well, what I AM good at, is keep on rambling (When I've first got started)

I'm somewhere between 38 and 52 years of age. I'm Norwegian, which probably makes it a bit harder to make sellable blogposts.

This board seems very friendly, with lots'a knowledge.

Cya around

I've personally never made a sale from Hun traffic. I don't submit there that often, but the half dozen or so I've had there have only been able to get lots of traffic with little results. I'm told that certain niches perform much better on the Hun. I can't remember who it was, but I think it was on an old radio show in which someone said that the only thing that sells on the hun is the "fucked up" stuff.

thanks :)

I can believe that. I haven't really tried many sites like that either. I can see that I get a few Hun hits each day, when people search it. I can also see that google seems to like my sites being listed there (since TheHun have a fairly high "trust-whatever-it-was-called" score.)

After I really started to dig into what google tools can tell me (which I still don't really understand squat of, but I'm learning) it is obvious that good traffic is search engine traffic. I'm trying to figure out how to make people stay a bit longer and make one more click or five (bounce-rate will be affected I guess).
So it's all about balance I guess. Lots a Traffic is good, because google sees it, but it is also bad because of bad bouncerate.

To be honest, this is extremely interesting, and I do like a good challenge. It's nothing like when I did this a little while in the late 90's.

O', look at me. Rambling again
