So I Leave For The Doctor's Office On Monday 3/26 at Noon.....
 

...and I just got home at 1:00 PM today (3/31)

I forget what I posted before I left, but the thought was the incision from my last surgery was infected & leaking a lot, so the doctor wanted to see me. As soon as he looked at it, he sent me to the ER to be re-admitted. So I get there & they draw a lot of blood & take samples from the fluid to perform cultures. They told me I was going to be there for a couple days.

They put me on some generic antibiotics until the cultures came back on Wednesday that I had a Strep infections (thankfully it was not Staph with MRSA)

On Thursday the surgeon & the infection doctor from the hospital debate whether to re-open me & clean out then infection by hand. They decide to meet Friday morning & take a look. On Friday they decide that they do not need to go back in & that I can go home, where I'll be on antibiotics for the next 6 weeks. They can't find a nurse to come to my house that day, so they finally discharged me this morning.

So that's where I've been for the last 6 days...did I miss anything? :)

That gaping hole at the bottom kinda looks like it could be a micro niche.

Hope it heals with the anti-biotics and the doctors didn't make (yet another) mistake. It does look like it's on the mend though.

But u also disinfect it from the outside?

Oh yeah - we change the dressing once a day & flush the area with saline. I'm also on a shitload of antibiotics.

and the pain is gone?

That looks nasty but good to see/hear/read you're back home.
And no you didn't miss anything except that I'm now real close to you for a few days :)

Nope - I am the same as when I went in, but it could take a couple months for my spinal cord to adjust itself.

Apart from the infection... it looks pretty cool |bananna||bananna|

That's picture makes me lose my appetite. If I keep looking at it, maybe I'll lose a few pounds for the summer.

My recurrent upper respiratory flu is nothing in comparison with this one...
