Share Your Interesting/Useful Browser App/Extensions: CHROME

Let's help each other out by sharing some of our interesting/useful Chrome browser apps/extensions. Whether they're work related or not, post what you're using (with a link) and maybe find one that you didn't know about |shake|

bitly - Save, share, and bundle your links
It's a URL shortener & I really like this one for use when I post links on Twitter. The stats page shows you how many clicks you got each day for each link.

Google +1 Button - +1 and share a web page, anywhere you go on the web.
Very handy for +1'ing your own sites/pages :D

Google+ Notifications - View notifications of Google+ activity when signed in, anywhere you go on the web.
Let's you know that some person from the other side of the world with a very strange name started to follow you on Google+

Hover Zoom - Enlarge thumbnails on mouse over. Works on many sites (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Reddit, Amazon, Tumblr, etc).
This one is EXTREMELY handy for reviewing Free Sites and Galleries. It even works on text links to pics! I've found that it slows down Twitter & doesn't have the options that this next one has for Facebook.

FB Photo Zoom - The best way to view photos on Facebook!
It even enlarges profile pics.

IE Tab - Display web pages using IE within Chrome. Supports ActiveX controls, Sharepoint, ICBC, alipay. A "Top 10" extension since 2009!
Because we all know there's always something fucked up on our pages when you look at them with IE

InstaBrowser - Instagram™ viewer for Google Chrome™
No need to grab your phone to see what's been posted on Instagram

Pendule - Web developer tools for Chrome.
There are so many tool in this thing that I don't think I've explored all of them. The best one IMHO is the Color Picker: hover over an area on a page & it'll give you the HEX (#1A2B3C)

Screen Capture (by Google) - Capture visible content of a tab, a region of a web page, or the whole page as a PNG image. Support horizontal and vertical scroll when capturing whole page, with an all new autosave capability.
I think that's pretty much self-explanatory

Search by Image (by Google) - This extension allows you to initiate a Google search using any image on the web. By the Google Images team.
I've used it a couple times with great results. Would be really handy for people that produce their own content.

TinEye Reverse Image Search - This is the official TinEye Chrome extension. Find out where an image came from, how it's used, or find higher resolution versions
Pretty much the same as above.

Secbrowsing - plugin version checker - Periodically checks that all your plugins are up-to-date.
Simple enough.

SEOquake - SEOquake is a SEO extension (toolbar) for Google Chrome, it shows PageRank, Alexa and tons of SEO parameters, also works in SERP
Another one where I have barely explored all the info it can show you about a site/page

So, what have you got? |shake|

I'm surprised this one wasn't mentioned:

Number Search Engine Results - Pretty self explanatory, I think, from the name. In Google you have to go into your search settings and turn off instant predictions.

I just tried it & I can't get it to work, even after editing my settings. Plus, the Last Updated info says Sunday, April 11, 2010 - I think there have been some changes in how Google handles things since then.

Edit this Cookie - Edit This Cookie is a cookie manager. You can add, delete, edit, search, protect and block cookies!

Chrome to Phone - Google Chrome to Phone Extension enables you to send links and other information from Chrome to your Android device.

Google Tasks - Official Chrome Extension for Google Tasks

Google Voice - Make calls, send SMS, preview Inbox, and get notified of new messages. (US only)

Web Developer Toolbar - Adds a toolbar button with various web developer tools. The official port of the Web Developer extension for Firefox.

Ohhhh ! How much stuff. In my system I use chrome as the "fast opening browser" so I'm not loading it with plenty of extensions... I only have a few, one for PR, one for Alexa, and this one that worth mentioning:

Google Personal Blocker Blocks domains/hosts from appearing in your Google search results.

I only use Chrome to test things in Chrome and to access Google's tools like analytics, Gmail, etc. So I don't have any extensions added to this browser at all.

Again the plugin: Number Search Engine Results

AFAICT I am running the current production version of Google Chrome for Windows (19.0.1084.52). I just tried uninstalling and re-installing the plugin and it installed and worked for me.

Thanks for sharing that info with us! I truly hope you posted in the other threads so that we can all find out what other browsers you have no apps for.

Also, what's with this?

You're welcome! And yes, no worries, I did post something sort of like that in the Safari thread too. |boobies|

That's an almost invisible period. I use it because vBulletin ignores blank lines and my signature gets really claustrophobic if it's pressed right up against the body of a post. Sometimes I use an almost invisible tilde or a back quote. Just to keep it fresh.

Thanks for asking. |thumb

That one lead me to:
Swap My Cookies - If you have multiple accounts let Swap My Cookies manage them for you!
Forget Me - Clean History, Cookies & more - Delete everything about a website. Cookies, History, localStorage, sessionStorage...everything!

Both look to be very useful as well :)

Never a big fan of Chrome, use it very infrequently.
