Good 1st Last Monday Of August 2012...

Morning |waves|

Here's your daily Hurricane Isaac Storm Track

(assuming they allow hotlinking)

Another day of playing around with the banners & coding on Real Sexy Girlfriends. Sometime over the last 2 days, I decided to make all the banners on the sides of the pages the same width - 200px (see the Blowjob Girlfriends page) This is going to add a lot of time to this task, whch means I know what I'll be doing for the next month |pokefun||greenguy|

Have a good one |thumb

I'm seeing a Girlfriends blog in my future.

Waking up to a very windy and wet one here. Looking at the storm track I'm really glad that I don't live in New Orleans.

Probably not a great beach day.

Didn't really work much over the weekend so today is going to be a work day.

Good morning world |waves|

The storm mostly missed us here yesterday. All the strong energy was way up on the north and east sides, so the mainland caught it much worse than we had it. No one's sure exactly where it'll make land later in the week or how strong it'll be when it does. Here's hoping it won't be bad for those in its path now.

Looks to be just a normal work here, with lots to get done as usual.

Wishing a good week to all.

:)

Yesterday evening:

This morning:

Rain has slowed considerably, but, is still heavy at times.

Seems very similar to Hurricane Irene which dumped a ton of rain in 24 hours. This has been an incredibly wet storm and I suspect that will cause more damage than the wind.

Stay safe everyone and have a good Monday.

Good morning.

Wow that sucks about the rain and flooding you have CD :(

bDok 2012-08-27 12:06 PM

Alright. Today I get to work with accounting. So not looking forward to this. Oh well gotta to get done. Going to try to catch up with a lot of figuring out where the fuck I am this year. I have an extension also that will be coming up so I'm finally figuring that fun stuff out.

Sucks about the hurricane.

Alright time to get some coffee and then get to my meeting.

You have a lake in your front yard.

It's still raining sideways here off and on plus we are getting really strong wind gusts.

Looks like the tree in our front yard has lost a few small limbs. I guess we get to play with chainsaws tomorrow.

Wonder if the state is going to drain lake Okeechobee again resulting in water restrictions again?

RedCherry 2012-08-27 01:29 PM

Morning everyone!

No lakes in our front yard here, and glad you guys are safe so far.

@abatis, I saw that pic on facebook and laughed out loud. I was in hurricane Ewa on Hawaii years ago which basically didn't effect much of Oahu, except where I lived, so most people got that pic, we had no power or water for 2 weeks. Just glad so far all the Florida people seem to be having only minor damage. |thumb

Jim was up early, so got some grocery shopping out of the way, and now home building free sites and 3D pics. Have a good one all and stay dry!

Good afternoon.

Did some chores the last few hours now I am getting into the swing of things.

I am glad everyone on the board from down south is safe.

Have a great day! |thumb

Lake Okeechobee is at 12.48' right now. At the end of rainy season, it is supposed to be at 16', so, they shouldn't be draining it.

Right now, our streets have streams of bubbles coming up. Like little pinholes with bubbles - rather odd effect, and impossible to get a decent picture of. Kids are riding their bikes/scooters in the street, some are swimming, using skimboards.

I thought the lake would be full by now.

Guess too much of the rain has been down here and not enough where it's needed.

Their measurements update a few times a day. Much of the rain that fell is also trapped in stormwater systems in central florida - which will trickle down. But, much of the rain that fell, fell to the east of the lake.
